The Foxtrot Mike Products FM-15 Gen 2 Side Charging AR-15 Upper Receiver features a unique dual spring recoil system nested in the top of the upper receiver allowing the use of a folding stock. This recoil system is paired with a carbine length direct impingement gas system and a proprietary lightweight bolt carrier group for a smooth and reliably functioning rifle. The 3 position adjustable gas block features an indexing pin and a coil pin to keep it locked in place against the lightweight contoured barrel for an extremely robust system.

Bought this back in February. Try it out on my psa mil.spec lower. Never even got 2 shots in a row, all single shot. Took it out and cleaned it and still the same crap. So I call FM and they send me an ups label and I send it in and after a few phone tag with them. I never get to actually talk with them beside a few emails. Till this day I never got my upper or any replacement back. Don’t waste your money. Will never buy anything from this company ( Foxtrot Mike) again

I got this as an upgrade to a registered SBR. I replaced my existing 9" upper with this 9" upper that is a bufferless system. This allowed me to add a the FM side folding AR buffer tube. This system will allow you to fire the rifle with the stock either open or folded. The adjustable gas block is a nice feature. I have a supressor that fits on this and being able to switch the gas block from the supressed setting to the standard setting will reduce wear on the bolt carrier. Everything functioned right out of the box. It's too bad you can't post pictures of your build. This is just amazing.

Just a brilliant bit of kit. Low recoil impulse compared to straight direct impingement is perfect for my stockless pistol. Hold it up to eye level, aim, and fire without getting an end plate to the face. So fun to shoot, love the side charger. People at the range stop and ask me where the buffer is lol

But it is crazy loud. I'm going to try the 12.5 next. IT is wicked fun to shoot.
