Works fine, pretty basic
by John Galt -
Pretty basic. Not happy with price overall, but I haven't had a problem with it. This is about as basic as they come, but function is fine.
Great budget handguard

Great budget ar15 handguard. Came with the barrel nut and screws, just need the appropriate wrench size as it does not come with a wrench tool. Rail has held up for me for 4 months since this post. The only bad thing I can say is I wished that it had the foxtrot mike logo on it since it's such a nice logo.
Not bad

Install is a bit difficult, has to be clocked just perfectly similarly to the normal drop handguard in delta ring type barrel nut, looks good, comfortable, good and stiff, if you don't mind the difficulty with the barrel nut then you probably will find it to be a decent handguard, personally I like the PSA handguards and will avoid this one in the future due to the difficulty of install, PSA handguards install very easily, also you'll need I believe a 1-3/8 or 1-5/16" crowfoot, cant quite remember the size, as long as you have the tool and a torque wrench it's pretty easy as long as you pay attention and slowly but gradually increase the torque to remain within spec.
Great product

This is a great light weight handguard and it is stiff enough to hold other accessories.
Hand guard

Very light in weight i was surprised how light this was especially considering how inexpensive it was. Fit and looks are as nice as more expensive ones. Would definitely buy again for future builds
Nice basic lightweight hand guard.

I used it to build a lightweight build matched up with a KE arms lower. Threw a set of Troy fixed battle sights on it and it’s a nice little carbine. I’m happy with it.
A great value for the money

A really solid rail for the money. It is low profile, so make sure you have a low profile gas block. It's a great upgrade for base ARs if you are looking for a full-length rail. definitely recommend.
Great handguard and customer service

I f***ed up my barrel nut when I received it by attempting install it incorrectly, when I emailed Foxtrot Mike to ask how to get a new one they sent it within an hour free of charge. Installing it properly wasn't actually that hard, it's not as straightforward as just turning to torque spec but if you go slow and steady with increasing torque and the right tools as long as you don't go overboard you won't have any problems. The handguard is light and looks great with its slim design, and the customer service was nothing short of spectacular. I can highly recommend this handguard.
Simple but be prepared, get barrel nut shims
by Andy
Its light, slim, basic, installation was very straight forward. You do have to get your own 30mm wrench or crowfoot for the barrel nut.
I used some barrel nut shims from aero so i could time the barrel nut correctly without getting into the upper end or exceeding the torque range.
I ended up at 40ft-lbs plus a little bit extra the get the rail lined up perfect with the handguard. hanguard attachment screws at 40 INCH-lbs with blue threadlocker is just fine.
After install, i noticed a long scratch along several mlok slots that was already anodized over. its cosmetic but im surprised it got past inspection like that. One star removed for it.

Best when on sale!
So far i like it for the price and design. Its dead simple, but you need to supply some items yourself to complete install. Just like the description says you need the right sized wrench/crowfoot for torqueing the barrel nut (i went to 40 ft/lbs initial plus a smidge for alignment). I say get shims because you may not have the flats of the nut aligned in the desired position for the rail to line up. Another option is to lap the receiver face, which I didnt want to fuss with the tight fit of my lapping tool and Aero receiver this time. I had leftover barrel nut shims from an Aero handguard kit and they worked no problem. (aero sells these shims separately as well)
Another note is to put a light coat of oil on the handguard attachment screws, they tend to show surface rust after handling.
