Becoming a believer in Ghost Rifles
by Larry
Finally had the opportunity to get my new Ghost Upper in 300 Blackout to the range for some break-in at 50yds. Loaded a few different bullets (Hdy 150gr RN, Hdy 150gr SST and Speer 125gr TNT) over Hodgdon H110. Dialed in scope with the "30-30" bullets, then move to "more appropriate" bullets. Early indications, this Upper is going to be a shooter. Worst group of 10-shots measured under 2"; impressive considering the shooting conditions and rate of fire. Next trip will be at 100yds and geared for accuracy testing. Overall, I like this upper and the 300blackout cartridge. Definitely a different recoil cycle from 5.56/223rem; might actually like it more. I was a little hesitant with so little feedback on Ghost Rifles, but my confidence is growing. I reached out to Ghost Rifles by email to confirm Cerakote color (FDE or Magpul FDE); quick response the next day. My only minor "concern" is some small cosmetic dings in the handguard under the Cerakote.
Beautiful upper reciever

The upper is awesome and it got here with in a week but I accidentally ordered 2 by mistake and it ending up being a hassle to return it. I had to spend another 30$ just to send it back
Impressed with Ghost Rifle 300 AAC Blackout Upper
by Jake
I was concerned with the limited information/feedback on Ghost Rifles, but their 300Blackout Upper offer the specs and price I was looking for. So, I made the right leap of faith and purchased a Ghost Rifle Upper.
Ghost Rifle upper arrived in very good condition, only concerns were some cosmetic "roughness' under the cerokote finish. No functional concerns and mute once I started mounting M-Lok accessories. Function - no issues. Accuracy -MOA or less. The Ghost Upper inspired enough confidence that it is now a full rifle. Primary Arms provided the additional components needed to take it to the next level. I am searching PA today for the best optic for this rifles purpose/function.
Hope I relieved some concern over Ghost Rifle uppers/components. I have been very happy with my Elite Upper. I will definitely consider Ghost Rifle when I start my next AR-15 build.

Impressed so far

I was concerned about buying one of these because of the limited info on them but the price was right and I decided to jump in
So far so good with this upper. Fit and finish were excellent. I have only shot 123gr magtech fmj through it so far and those are averaging 3moa. Very happy with it so far I did pair it with a ghost fde lower also, the cerakote I believe was a little thick and caused some fitment issues but some sanding on a couple areas took care of that.
Awesome product

Ghost firearms delivered on this package! It handled several different types of ammunition with no problems and always held tight groups. It is my hog hunting upper and It drops them every time!
Imagine my dissapointment

After a few weeks of looking, I decided to go with the Ghost Firearm 16” 300 blackout assembly. Everything looked and felt like I expected it to. I cleaned and lubed the action, barrel, etc., and was ready to send shots down range. One shot, a couple cleans swabs, 2nd and repeat, then the third shot. I felt something hit my right bicep....and looking down realized my forward assist blew out! WTH, but there it was, 3 shots in and the forward assist and spring are laying on the ground. I'm using a Winchester factory round 200gr bullet, so I shouldn't have had pressure issues, cycling seemed good, but here I am. I don't know if it was installed wrong or something else is the issue. Working through it. Hopefully this is a one off and not a common thing for Ghost Firearms.
