Glock uses a patented Safe Action® safety system in the trigger which prevents the firing pin from engaging unless the trigger is pulled. Although not entirely visible, upon closer inspection you’ll see the safety lever protruding from the center of the trigger. At rest, the safety lever is extended slightly above the trigger mechanism and the weapon cannot be fired unless the finger fully depresses this lever as the trigger is being pulled back.

Even with a round chambered, should your Glock 19 accidently slip out of your hand or your holster and hit the ground the Glock 19 simply won’t fire. Not only is this truly marvelous safety feature a noted plus, but it also comes in very handy when the need arises to quickly deploy and fire.

Another great feature about this Glock 19 9mm is the fluted polymer pistol grip. What this means is you can’t or don’t have to pull the firing hammer back into a “cocked” position. All you need to do is pull the trigger and it performs double duty. The trigger cocks and moves the striker pin forward.

It’s also extremely useful for a concealed carry, because you don’t have to worry about an exposed hammer snagging on a holster or article of clothing.
