This Glock Blue Label 23 Gen 5 fires a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson round which was specifically manufactured for Law Enforcement, designed to duplicate the performance of the 10mm auto and is readily available on the market. Manufactured to precise Glock specifications, the Glock Blue Label Gen 5 also features slide serrations on both the front and back of the slide, which aid in efficient operation even during the most adverse conditions.

With a barrel length of only 4.49 inches, the Glock Gen 5 Blue Label is perfect for concealed carry and comes with a twelve round magazine and has a redesigned “four point� Safe Action® safety system. As with all the Glock line of handguns, the trigger safety bar extends away from the trigger preventing unwarranted firing of the handgun until a finger is curled around the trigger and the trigger is pulled. With this Glock Blue Label 23 however, Glock has added three more safety features.

The firing pin safety effectively locks the firing pin in place, preventing it from moving forward until the trigger is pulled. Lastly, Glock has incorporated a “drop safety� which also prevents the firing pin from moving forward, accidently discharging the handgun in the event it’s dropped. All three safeties engage and disengage smoothly and effectively as the trigger is pulled and released.

One of the best features of the Safe Action® safety system is when the handgun is fired a shooter or operator doesn’t have to completely release the trigger to reset the trigger system and can hear it reset with an audible click. This allows for a quicker, controlled second shot or the ability to fire several rounds quickly. Coupled with all these features the Glock Blue Label 23 Gen 5 slide is built to accommodate optic sights with its MOS or modular optic system and is designed for ambidextrous operation, which makes it the perfect pistol for left and right handed shooters alike.
