Love Primary Arms but hated this bolt. Was useless from the start. Extractor would not grab brass. Bought a new extractor , worked fine after that.

You replaced the extractor and it worked perfectly? A faulty extractor deserves a one-star review? Really? Did you even bother contacting PA about it? People need to learn how to review before they are allowed to do so.

The long and short of it: Good bolt certainly for price point certainly so as it has FA cuts. I built a LR308 DPMS pattern with high profile billet upper and forged 7075 lower. Had all kinds of high pressure signs with failure to extract (to the bolt's CREDIT, it tore the rim off the case) and mildly dimpled primer (extrusion thru the firing pin hole). Swapped out with another known good bolt, same issue. Narrowed it down (once I eyeballed the barrel's chamber) to an out of spec, NASTY gouged chamber....not a PA product. Replaced barrel with a PA acquired BCA 308 16" barrel and the rifle worked flawlessly! NOW.....the brass still had a dimple on the primer however the primer itself was not flattened and there were no other signs of excessive pressure. Either the FP is undersize or the FP hole in bolt face is slightly oversize. I am happy/comfortable with the bolt and will buy another for my second build which is under way.

This BCG is perfect and flawless in every way. I have fired 185 rounds of varying weights with this BCG with out any issues. I suggest stocking up at this price. I just bought a second one as a backup or to build a second rifle.

Lubed it up a and shot 200 rounds without a single problem !!

The carrier is OK for the price but the oversized firing pin hole in the bolt cut holes in my primers. No, they weren't overpressure loads just my minimums for load testing. Pays to measure everything before using. Kind of ruined my range trip.

I bought this as a backup and when my primary one had some issues I tossed this in. This bolt carrier has run flawlessly since the moment it was tossed it. I've run probably 500 rounds through my rifle before writing this review. Bolt carrier group has minor wear on it and still wipes clean with ease. Keep in mind this bolt carrier has a warranty through the manufacturer.
