The Hesco Armor 200 Series of ballistic armor plates is engineered to provide maximum concealability, offering protection against firearm threats in a low-profile, low-visibility package.

All Hesco 200 Series ballistic armor plates take advantage of advanced composite materials such as Spectra®, a material 15 times as strong as steel and featuring eight times the strength-to-weight ratio. This material grants Hesco 200 Series plates the best of both worlds in armor plates: highly resistant yet lightweight.

The 200 Series Model U210-SA-MC-M armor plate is neither NIJ Level III nor Level IV; it is what the industry refers to as a Special Rifle Threat plate. As a result, it is ideal for protection against commonly-encountered intermediate rifle-caliber threats without the additional bulk required to stop full-power rifle projectiles.

Hesco certifies that this Special Rifle Threat plate will stop the following:
All NIJ certified pistol-caliber threats (IIA, IIIA) up to .44 Magnum.
All NIJ certified shotgun threats, including 00 buckshot and 1 oz. slugs.
Specific rifle-caliber threats: 5.56×45mm NATO ball (M193, 3 hits), 7.62×39mm lead-core (M67, 3 hits), 5.56×45mm NATO steel penetrator (M855: 3 hits, M855A1: 3 hits), 7.62×39mm steel core (M43, 3 hits), 7.62x39mm armor-piercing incendiary (BZ, 1 hit)

At just 0.56” thick, the Hesco Model U210 easily disappears under a concealable plate carrier or equivalent low-profile body armor.

This model is Medium-size, multi-curved, and featuring the military-style SAPI cut. SAPI cut plates offer a compromise between the broad coverage of a square plate and the high mobility of a shooter’s cut plate.
