Hesco Armor 200 Series U210 Ballistic Insert - Special Rifle Threat Multi Curve Shooters Cut - Small

The Hesco Armor 200 Series of ballistic armor plates is engineered to provide maximum concealability, offering protection against firearm threats in a low-profile, low-visibility package.

All Hesco 200 Series models employ Spectra® in their construction. Spectra® is an advanced composite material, part of the UHMWPE family of fibers, possessing 15 times the strength of steel and 8 times the strength-to-weight ratio, making it the optimal armor plate material.

The 200 Series U210-SH-MC-S armor plate is designated as a Special Rifle Threat; neither NIJ Level III nor Level IV, but capable of stopping projectiles commonly used in intermediate rifle-caliber platforms, such as the AR-15 or the AK-47.

Hesco certifies that this Special Rifle Threat plate will stop the following:
All NIJ certified pistol-caliber threats (IIA, IIIA) up to .44 Magnum.
All NIJ certified shotgun threats, including 00 buckshot and 1 oz. slugs.
Specific rifle-caliber threats: 5.56×45mm NATO ball (M193, 3 hits), 7.62×39mm lead-core (M67, 3 hits), 5.56×45mm NATO steel penetrator (M855: 3 hits, M855A1: 3 hits), 7.62×39mm steel core (M43, 3 hits), 7.62x39mm armor-piercing incendiary (BZ, 1 hit)

This multi-curved, Small-sized plate features a shooter’s cut. Shooter’s cut plates have pronounced cuts in the top corners, wider than those found in SAPI plates but not as extreme as a swimmer’s cut.

They offer improved freedom of arm movement, particularly when aiming a handgun or a long gun, while still protecting your upper body and your vitals. Best used as frontal armor.
