Not for astigmatism
by Steve -
Solid, well made unit. Returned it the 190 miles to Houston with no hassle. I looked through a 510c at the gun show and could see the circle dot perfectly. I thought the same tech would be used in the reticle in this sight, but I was wrong. You have to get into the 500 series to get the 'preferred' reticle for my eyes. If you have an astigmatism, don't buy this sight. For people with normal eyes, this unit seems like a good choice.
Red glare
by Donald -
Feels well made but I get a red glare most the time when looking through it. I even have a bushnell trs 25 that doesn't get a glare like this red dot does
We are happy to help you resolve this issue per our conversation.

Great optic, at a fair price. What else do you want?
Orange Lens Good, Red Lens Bad
by B-Rad -
Holosun is no longer using the proper film on their red dots. Old film color was orange as shown on box, while the new film color is deep red.
Problem is, the red film does not let enough of the light escape, so it reflects back into the tube causing a halo to be visible on most brightness settings.
I have also confirmed this to be the case on the Sig Sauer Romeo 5, which is made by Holosun.
I own 4 Holosun's and have compared side-by-side.
They were good while they lasted.
Cannot depend on it
by Brian -
It failed after a year and they repaired it. Less than a year later it has failed again. It eats batteries so I never know if it will work when I really need it. Not going to waste any more time on it.
I will buy again.

I got it mounted on a Marlin 336 for a close range brush hog gun. Havent harvested a hog yet but will. I like Holosun.
Not So Great

I know red glare can be a “red dot thing” but this was excessive. Returned.
