Primary Arms and Holosun have combined forces to bring you the power of the patent pending ACSS® CQB reticle in a red dot sight for the first time! The problem with dot sights is that a large dot is great up close but less useful at distances beyond 100 yards, because the dot becomes too large to aim with precision. A small dot used in conjunction with a magnifier fixes that problem, but is slower to acquire in close range snap shooting. The ACSS reticle uses a large chevron that the eye picks up very easily for up close shooting. At longer distances, the tip of the chevron is an infinitely small aiming point perfect for taking precise shots.
Using "zero" ranges of 25, 50, or 100 yards, the ACSS BDC is compatible with the following calibers:
- 5.56 NATO / 5.45x39 from 100 to 600 yards
- 300 BLK / 7.62x39 from 50 to 450 yards
- 12 gauge 1 oz. slug from 25 to 150 yards
- 7.62x54R from 100 to 600 yards
- 7.62 NATO / .308 Win from 100 to 600 yards
- 300 BLK 220 gr subsonic from 50 to 150 yards
- .22LR 40 gr from 50 to 175 yards
- 9mm carbine 115gr from 25 to 200 yards
The ACSS features three BDC dots underneath the chevron, allowing an unprecedented 600 yards of bullet drop compensation in 7.62 NATO or 5.56 NATO calibers. Auto ranging and wind leads are also incorporated into this smart reticle. A CQB horseshoe grabs the eye instantly for close quarters shooting and also approximates the spread pattern of 00 buckshot at 25 yards. The reticle for this sight is a central 2 MOA dot, centered in a 65 MOA circle with four positioning points. The diameter of the circle reticle represents approximately 5'5" at 100 yards 170cm at 100m.
The HS503G is a proven micro dot sight with an auto-on function that switches on the power with a slight movement of the sight. It comes with a 1913 Picatinny base which is removable, revealing an Aimpoint Micro-compatible base underneath. It also comes with the lower 1/3rd co-witness riser mount shown in the photos.

I was very sceptical.

I was very sceptical about this optic as I had never heard of it before. I took a chance and so far am very pleased. It is as advertised. I have it setting on an AK and work very well on it. It would be nice if the Chevron was a bit larger and the front lens set slightly farther in to protect it.
Awesome red dot

Best red dot out there regardless of price. I would buy it for all of my guns that currently have a red dot. Pair it with a magnifier and this little red dot beats out most lpvo. Easy to use. Illuminations works very well during the day. I would highly recommend.

This is a really amazing optic. The battery life is outstanding. The toughness of Holosun and this red dot in particular has been proven several times over by independent users all over the net. The reticle itself is bright and tight. It's super sharp and will get way brighter than you need it to. The shake awake feature is great and works well. I was able to zero it quickly and the glass looks completely flawless in my unprofessional opinion. Everything I want is there without it feeling cluttered. It's hard to beat a package like that. You would have to really try to break one of these and I can't really envision a realistic situation where one of these would fail that wouldn't also torpedo a much more expensive option. If you're looking for a red dot in this price range but you don't want to sacrifice on quality I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better option.
Ruger 9mm PC Carbine, Works Great so far!

Works great on my Ruger 9mm PC Carbine. The ACSS reticle is supposed to work fine with this caliber, comes with illustration, sight it in at 25 yards for chevron top, and dots correlate to 50 100, 150 and 200 yards. Right now it's mounted about mid-rail, and the reticle is noticeably small, those little dots don't show up, so i'll try if closer to my eye and see if I can discern the details better so it will be more usable. I can see why a 3x multiplier might be a great option, but I don't want that on my Ruger.

First time use review with 300 rounds after 25 meter zero with Federal 5.556 55gr:
The reticle is very clean, with every setting for any light condition you could possibly want. It has the sleep setting and the reticle will automatically turn on with movement. I bought this optic specifically for the reticle design, but was hesitant to go with Holosun. I will say an skepticism I had is gone. The optic hasn't disappointed at distances over 100 yards. Next purchase with most likely be a magnifier. I highly recommend this optic if you choose not to go Eotech or Trijicon. Great collaboration between Holosun and PA with amazing price point!
Will update review after more training time.

After watching several YouTube videos on this sight, I pulled the trigger. One of the things I was worried about was tint of the glass. Well, as far as I can tell, there is no tinting of the glass that I can notice when looking through the sight. Reticle is extremely bright at full power, so outdoor visibility is excellent. Very happy with overall quality and construction. Quality is top notch and I will definitely buy more Holosun products. Very satisfied!

Great optic for the money. The auto awake is money. The ACSS reticle makes this a very versatile optic. There is enough separation for me to see all the dots without a magnifier. Glass is very clear. A great buy
An excellent optic

Purchased to go on an 11.5 pistol. So far the optic has been excellent. Construction and materials seem very solid, included mount seems nice, and has been tight since installation.
I was worried about the reticle since I have an astigmatism, but it's been the only red dot so far that I haven't had any blurring. The reticle is incredibly clear, and extremely easy to use, and the glass clarity appears excellent. Compared to my eotech the clarity is night and day better. A normal red dot seems lacking by comparison. The shake awake is an awesome feature too.
So far I've had no downsides. You cannot get a better optic for the price, and it can compete with other brands that can cost twice as much
