Holosun solar powered red dot

Sight was packaged well. pulled it out of the box and sure enough, it was ON. There is a small tool to loosen the tiny screws locking the battery tray, and an Extra battery tray... Nice. Tried it out last week-end. Dot was bright enough outside in the sunlight. Ground was covered in snow so I had to use the battery Inside, shooting Out into the sunlit snow. Had no problem seeing the dot. Crisp dot, clear glass, and it seems to be parallax free. Very pleased.

Paired this red dot with an American defense mount and couldn't be happier. Great, affordable alternative to the T1/H1.

I've wanted a battery independent, rugged, unobtrusive, affordable reflex sight for yeats. Thank you for Nailing it on the head. With an American Defense H1 mount, this combo can be mounted as low or high as you need. I wish the knob caps were tethered and had directional click arrows but once zeroed, you'll rarely need to touch them again. Primary Arms quality is right up there with Trijicon and Aimpoint but without the ego. PA for all my builds from now on.
Holosun Solar

Initially a nice sight but the solar option seems to be funny. It says when not enough ambient light is auto switches to battery mode. Mine did not had to do it manually. Tried contacting Holosun but no reply back. Works fine on battery mode but thats why i bought the solar.

I really like this red dot. Its awesome that the dot will adjust brightness based upon the ambient light. And when it gets dark it just switches to battery, seamlessly. Its nearly perfect.
Probably better than my old vortex sparc..

I have yet to drop it, banged around to see how it holds up. The glass is clear and the dot is crisp as stated. So far I really like it.

I have always wanted a red dot sight that could operate without batteries but they were always out of my price range. But now I have it. This sight is well crafted and the dot is clear. It started working without the battery upon removing it from the box. The dot was visible in my house midday with only the light coming in through the window. It will even work outside in the shade.

I have a PA reddot on my Buckmark...fantastic. I would have gotten the next gen but the Solar Power interested me. Pretty neat bit of kit. It's currently on my 5.45 AR and is working perfectly. FYI it comes with two different risers
