Details

Out of the box, this red dot is automatically solar powered. The red dot intensity also auto adjusts to ambient light. If there is not enough light, such as at night, just press the + or - button to activate battery power. Now it will operate like a regular red dot. You can adjust the intensity by pressing + or - buttons. When it is time to power off the unit, just press both buttons at the same time or simply put it away and it will turn off battery operation after 8 hours. The unit is now automatically in solar powered mode, ready when you need it. You can verify the power mode by covering the solar cell. If the red dot is on, you are in battery mode. If it is off, you are in solar mode.

Awesome features

Bought for the light weight, long battery life, and ease of use. Couldn't be happier with the results. It can be a little hard to initially pick up the dot depending on the background but can easily be changed if needed. Look forward to seeing the circle dot on the 503 as it may be even better.

5 Star Red Dot Sight!

Amazing product, I am so happy with my purchase. Dot sight is perfectly waterproof, I have tested it several times and it does not fog. Very durable finish, very crisp, 2 MOA dot. Easy to dial in and zero. Solar feature works like a charm! I never use battery power when I am outside, or even when I am inside a lot of the time. I would recommend this to anyone looking to put an aimpoint style optic on their rifle.ONE THING TO NOTE. If you want to cowitness your ironsights, I bought the american defense lower 1/3 cowitness quick detach mount... Awesome mount, but it is too high for me to see my irons at all through it. I am running Magpul MBUS pros on my rifle. I would recommend the absolute cowitness american defense mount.

Excellent Quality Not

After 3 months and only having 20 sight in rounds shot with it, the LED is failing. I thought it was the solar cell but after a weekand 4 new different batteries, I need to turn on the dot to max brightness to be useful. I've called Holosun numerous times leaving voicemails. I regret not buying the Primary Arms MD-ADS. Don't go Holosun, they're not willing to back their products. If they were, I wouldn't be writing a complaint. Nor wasting phone minutes calling and calling...
