JP Enterprises Custom Buffer Spring - Centerless Ground and Polished - Carbine

I used this JP tuned and polished buffer spring with a standard Anderson Manufacturing 3oz carbine buffer, in a WND nickel boron buffer tube and DD butt stock. The AR shot great and cycled without any flaws. I would use it again.

I wanted an extra power spring amongst other things for greater reliability. I originally wanted the Springco blue spring, but Primary Arms doesn't carry Springco springs so I got this as a compromise - I wanted to order all of my parts from one place to save on shipping, and PA had everything I wanted to order at the best prices. I'm glad I got this one! It runs much quieter than a normal buffer spring.NOTE: Compared to Springco springs, the strength of this one falls in between the blue and red springs.

My AR-15 rifles were not cycling Russian ammunition reliably that I use for training. Tulammo was the main culprit with FTF and , or FTE every other round! Without doing any other modifications, other than changing out the buffer springs, all rifles cycle with zero FTF & FTE. I put 300 plus rounds of Tulammo, Silver Bear, and Brown Bear (55 grain and 62 grain), in each rifle using using Magpul 2nd gen & 3rd gen mags, and Troy battle mags with zero FTF or FTE. What a difference! If your AR rifle is having digestion problems like mine were using Russian ammo, maybe a new buffer spring would help your rifle too? And an added bonus was that felt recoil and sound is perceptively better.

my custom AR build cycles like butter. I don't know if it's the spring or if it's all in my head. Anyways, I don't think I'll ever be disappointed. It's nice to know I have peace of mind due to the extra investment in this spring!

Solid - you can notice the difference

Spring does as advertised, added this and a H buffer to my rifle because of an over gassing issue and it solved the problem. This spring is of higher quality and strength than the spring that came with my rifle. Also helps with that annoying noise.

The JP buffer spring is a great upgrade for your rifle. It comes with instructions and additional information about the spring. I purchased one of these when I swapped the full size A2 stock for a collapsible one. I highly recommend this product to anyone who enjoys shooting the AR-15. My order shipped the next day.

The one I got was not silent. Though significantly quieter than a stock spring. What was really interesting was its effect on recoil impulse. My 6.5 Grendel now has significantly reduced recoil and it didn't exactly kick like a mule to begin with. With an oddly different impulse, it feels like a two stage kick if that can be imagined.

This spring is nice and quiet and helps reduce felt recoil. I highly recommend it as it preformed as discribed. I have all JP Enterprises springs in my AR and it makes a huge difference.Shipping is also extremely fast, Primary Arms has a customer for life.
