Anyone who has tried to correctly cowitnesses a EoTech with a standard AR front sight post knows how bad the post distorts the center dot on the holograph making a "split dot" cowitnesses impossible and forcing you to do a "dot over post" or "post over dot" both of which are poor options in my opinion since they do not allow for precise rezero of the dot or clear and accurate aiming with the irons. This post fixes the issue wonderfully by allowing for a "center of dot center of cross hair" cowitnesses that's accurate and enables you to actually see your target thru the irons. I can actually focus on the target itself thru the irons and maintain an accurate sight picture far better than standard irons because the outer ring on this post gives the brain a holding point within the rear diopter that's far easier to align. For back ups to holographic optics like EoTech or Leopold this post is basically a requirement in my opinion.
