The Lantac Dragon Muzzle Brake in 5.56 is the original design in Lantac's Dragon lineup, using a patent-pending Short Energy Pulse system to deliver genuinely significant recoil and muzzle-rise reduction.
Features:
- Dragon porting geometry with Short Energy Pulse recoil management
- Chambered for 5.56/.223, threaded 1/2x28
- Hardened mil-spec steel construction for genuine durability
- Direct-thread installation with no quick-detach mount hardware
- Reduces recoil and muzzle climb even under full-auto fire
- The original configuration in Lantac's Dragon muzzle brake lineup
LANTAC USA's Dragon Muzzle Brake uses a patent-pending Short Energy Pulse design that shortens the duration of recoil so repeated shot energy can't overlap and knock the shooter off target, giving even full-auto fire meaningfully reduced recoil and muzzle climb.
Lantac USA has manufactured the Dragon Muzzle Brake since its original release, and this direct-thread 5.56 configuration remains the foundation of the company's broader Dragon lineup. That reliability shows up range trip after range trip, build after build. It's a genuine upgrade for anyone looking to improve their rifle's muzzle control. Installation follows standard armorer procedures throughout. Consistency shot after shot is the whole point of a quality muzzle device. That reliability shows up range trip after range trip, build after build.

Good muzzle brake !!
by Albert
I have my gunsmith put it on my Styre Aug he have to retread my barrel but it's work like a charm. I took it the range and shot it and felt hardly any recoil at all. I had a spike dynocom on my Ar build but now I'm gonna change it to the lantac. Get one u won't be disappointed....
Wow!

Let me assure you there is no muzzle rise with Lantac Dragon. There is a recoil after all bolt action is moving back with force that's normal! You are still on target no rise. Huge fireball coming out of your barrel! Not a good break if you want to be stealthy awesome if you want to stay on target shot after shot. Will be getting another one. No disappointments here.
Fantastic Break! But of couse there is still recoil.

When this break first came out I took a chance on it (hearing all the hype). The thing is simple to install so within an hour of install I was at the range. Put 120 rounds down range that day. I was simply amazed! I did see where one reviewer stated he purchased one because it was advertised as zero recoil. Well of course there is no such animal. But first the 5.56/.223 round is pretty darn tame to begin with. What this break does do is directs the gasses to help keep the muzzle down and straight. It delivers in that department better than any break I have tried. I had already put a 3.5 lb hypertouch trigger in my Delton so it only takes a slight put to send a round off. This break hold the weapon down so well you can really get subsequent shots off very quickly and flat at the same time. So how much did I like it? I got home from the range and ordered another to install on my wife's AR. Then when the came out with the same break for .308 I ordered one for my AR-10. No surprise when they introduced a model for the AK you guessed it I ordered immediately. I highly recommend this compensator. Also like everyone else states this thing is loud! That is really the only drawback for me. However with hearing protection and all the good this thing does I don't even consider how loud it is.
Quite happy

I am very happy with this brake. I've gotten to try one on both a 14.5" and 20" setup. Both performed great.

Excellent quality. Follow-up shots are on target and muzzle rise is very minimal to none at all and overall reliable (switched it from my 556 to a 223 wylde with no complications as long as you have a qood tourqe wrench or breaker bar for that extra).
Excellent brake

This is a great brake/comp. I have a tried a few different brakes and comps on my weapons, and if I am not going to suppress a weapon, this is my go-to brake. It's important to get the align the brake ports correctly. That's what the shim is for. Loosen and tighten the brake a few times until you get get it timed correctly.
Well worth it

This brake lives up to the hype. I was amazed at how flat my gun shoots after putting it on. Well worth the money!

Excellent quality product. However; having a crush washer kit is a plus because with the washer included the break did not line up. Functional operation is amazing.
