The Leupold Dual Dovetail 2-Piece line of bases is designed to accommodate most rifles and are the most versatile of any mounting system Leupold offers. Made for a low profile, easy mount that lasts, both dovetails lock dovetail rings securely into place. As one of the most durable mounts Leupold offers, this base was designed to be compatible for standard to magnum caliber rifles and high recoils. These base sets are fluted for a custom look on each firearm, and are perfect if the user needs a greater level of flexibility when considering mounting options for a bolt action rifle. The steel DD rings employ a twist-and-lock action, guaranteeing a strong connection to either 1- or 2-piece bases, and the dovetail feature allows for exact sighting. Because of the sturdy steel design, there is significantly less risk of damage as there are no additional pieces or hinges that add liability to some scope mounts. The DD 2-piece is suitable for both left and right hand actions and are manufactured to withstand heavy use and adjustment. These scopes are manufactured to accommodate windage adjustment, so rear windage screws are unneeded for Leupold’s simple, secure mounting system. Leupold has designed this base set with every shot, shooter, and on-the-fly elevation in mind.
