The Leupold Dual Dovetail 2-Piece line of bases is designed to accommodate most rifles and is the most versatile of any mounting system Leupold offers. Made for a low profile, easy mount that lasts, both dovetail bases lock dovetail rings securely into place. These base sets are fluted for a custom look on each firearm and are perfect if the user needs a greater level of flexibility when considering mounting options for a bolt action rifle. Because of the sturdy steel design, there is significantly less risk of damage as there are no additional pieces or hinges that add liability to some scope mounts. The DD 2-piece is suitable for both left and right-hand actions and is manufactured to withstand heavy use and adjustment. The Leupold Steel 2-Piece Dual Dovetail is designed to interface with the corresponding wings, which has a windage ring on the rear base that allows for sighting correction in left and right increments as needed. They are secured by Nylok windage adjustment screws for achieving the perfect boresight windage. Shims can also be used to adjust gross elevation as needed, as it reserves the scope’s elevation adjustment for drop compensation. Leupold has designed this base set with every shot, shooter, and on-the-fly elevation in mind.
