LMT MLC MARS 5.56 Piston AR-15 Rifle - 16"

This LMT Defense AR-15 features an MLC 5.56 Monolithic Piston Upper and a MARS Ambidextrous Lower Receiver. A 16-inch chrome line barrel with a 1:7 twist rate is staked into the upper receiver with two Torx screws that in conjunction with the barrel nut, offer 360 degrees of engagement to virtually eliminate barrel movement but simultaneously let the user quickly swap barrels. LMT makes a variety of different barrel lengths, as well as different caliber barrels which are all compatible with their monolithic upper receiver system. While all this makes the LMT MLC MARS 5.56 unique, this AR-15 also utilizes an adjustable, long stroke gas piston system with a coated piston rod and spring, both of which are cryogenically treated for long lasting strength.
