The Enhanced Rubber Buttpad - 0.70" is an optional replacement for Magpul MIL-SPEC CTR and MOE stocks, the original UBR, and all STR, ACS-L, and ACS stocks. Designed for enhanced shoulder purchase and slightly improved recoil reduction with a thicker, vented construction. Mounting hardware included.
NOTE: The Enhanced Rubber Buttpad may also be installed on commercial-spec MOE/CTR stocks, however, this may inhibit the use of the fully collapsed stock position.

Top notch MagPul part.

Really helps the comfort of my CTR stock. It provides good traction to the body. Comfortable recoil and even adds a little for those guys like me with really long arms. Plus it installs in seconds.
Reduces recoil considerably

Since I use the CTR stocks on heavier recoiling cartridges such as the .458 SOCOM and .475 TREMOR, the thin standard recoil pad is pretty useless. The thicker extended butt-pad enhances recoil reduction considerably without adding undue extra length.

Sometimes you find a product that you might not necessarily need but it feels and looks better than something you already have. That is what I found with the magpul extended rubber buttpad. I ended up purchasing two of these. One from Primary Arms the other from another company. Wish I had waited and purchased both from Primary. it would have been cheaper...Primary has become my first stop when shopping for accesories.

Well Built, Not a Recoil Alleviator

This product is well built and attaches solidly to my Magpul MOE Mil-Spec buttstock.Despite what the description says, this is NOT the "Extended" buttpad. This is the ENHANCED buttpad. This is the thickest of the 3 at 0.70".The claimed recoil reduction is minimal at best. While this is a thick pad, and there are some relief holes cut into it to soften it up a bit, they don't go all the way through from left to right. This leaves a fairly rigid strip of rubber down the center, rendering it still very stiff.Additionally, these holes serve as phenomenal places for dirt to hide.If you're looking to add some extra length to your buttstock, I'd recommend this buttpad. If you're looking for recoil reduction, I'd look elsewhere.

I like these buttpads. Although I doubt they do anymore to absorb the recoil than the regular ones do. As always, PA did a great job in handling my order. Fast & correct, every time.

This adds a needed .5" to my stock pull. Stock is .25" this one is .70" which about a 1/2" Not much else to say except don't buy this in hopes of felt recoil reduction, that's not what this is for.
