Details

The Magpul MOE AR-15 Carbine Stock is a drop-in replacement buttstock for AR-15/M16 carbines using MIL-SPEC receiver extensions. This lightweight stock is the perfect upgrade to make to your Mil-Spec AR-15 as it is much more durable, has minimal rattle, and has slots for easily attaching sling mounts.The streamlined A-frame profile avoids snagging and shields the release latch to prevent accidental activation. Includes a standard 0.30" thick rubber butt-pad which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear. At a length of 6.9" and only 8 ounces in weight, this AR stock is perfect for your next lightweight carbine build. This Magpul Original Equipment stock comes in Olive Drab Green but there is a wide variety of colors to choose from to match your build. If you are looking to make a quick and easy upgrade yto your Mil-Spec AR-15, you can't go wrong with this adjustable carbine stock.

Good,solid gear

Magpul makes some good solid stuff that I use on all my builds now. I like that it also comes in tacticool colors. That sure beats the bells and colored beads the hajis put on their weapons.

Solid stock with a little wobble, but nothing little tape can't fix. Excellent value. I recommend getting the enhanced butt pad

I couldn't live with it

I'm going through my first build and grabbed one of these on sale after reading all the rave reviews and looking to save a little extra money for a decent upper. It didn't even sit on the Anderson buffer tube for more than five minutes before I said I couldn't do it. The wobble drove me insane. I wasn't about to put velcro or tape on this thing to make it fit snug like some people suggest after spending so much for this build. I get that maybe different brands of tubes fit looser or tighter but I guess it just didn't like the Anderson tube. Some people say they just live with it and to stop worrying so much but after seeing my buddy's STR clamp down and not move a cm I broke down and bought the CTR and sent this thing packing. Don't get me wrong it was nice quality but the rattle would have bothered me to no end. What's a few extra bucks to get one that clamps when you're already spending so much to begin with? Unless that extra $15 has you starving for a few days I'd opt for something that locks or find a tube that fits better.

WHAT WOBBLE?

I've used several of the M.O.E. STOCK over the past few years and helped friends with their first builds. Unless for some reason I end up with a 'COMMERCIAL' stock on a mil-spec tube mine usually fit very snug.
