Great for replacing handguard & flash hiders
by Tyler -
Bought this to replace my handguard to the Ghost MLok 15" freefloat. This made it easy to remove my factory flash hiders on my 6.8 & 5.56 barrels. Quickly removed the stock barrel nut assembly. Did its job as described. The only thing it couldnt do was install my new King Comp muzzle brake.

Piece of junk. 3/4 wrench for muzzle device is too big and castle nut ears snapped off without much torque. Do yourself a favor and put the money toward the magpul or real avid wrench and be done with it.
Good tool. Not perfect.

Firstly, had no issues getting my barrel nut on and off.
Where I did have an issue, however, was the 3/8 drive hole. Put simply, it’s not 3/8”. My torque wrench, snap-on ratchet, and craftsman ratchet are all too big to fit in the hole. Not a huge deal to torque my barrel nut by feel, but certainly not ideal, especially for beginners.
Everything else has worked fine for me. Definitely would be 5 stars if the 3/8 drive hole was correct on my tool. Maybe I got a faulty one.
This isn't a tool, it's a toy.

I didn't even get this to 40ft-lb before the teeth on the castle nut wrench started crumbling like stucco. Very expensive price for one of the cheapest quality tools I've ever used. I didn't even bother using any of the other functions of this tool.

Much beefier and heavier than I expected, based on other reviews. I have used this on several barrel nuts now, no issue. I really don't see how this could spread open such that it's not usable. Only issue i had was the muzzle wrench portion didn't fit my RED device, but the RED is also much larger than most muzzle brakes. Would buy this again

I tried the barrel nut porting of this on a build, when I had to go above 60 ft pounds the wrench stretched open and started to skip the teeth on the barrel nut. Save your money and buy a different wrench.
For the price I would recommend.

Was very surprised at the quality of the wrench. For 17$ I expected a one time use for it. Built 3 rifles and replaced various parts so far using it. I would have given it a 5 but when installing a castle nut and a muzzle device the friction scrapped of some of the coating. The coating is softer than the metal underneath so ended up scratching the muzzle device a tiny bit. Myself and two other friends use this wrench.
8-lug barrel nut wrench not universal
by J King -
This wrench will not work for all your needs. you may still need another wrench. The Barrel Nut end of it has 8 lugs for removing a stock barrel nut. Not all aftermarket rails use a barrel nut with holes for an 8-lug wrench (See AERO Precision's BAR barrel nut). The manufacturer should have put two or three lugs on the opposite side of the wrench for a more universal use.
Tool 1 star Primary Arms 6 stars! Please read as i only used one of the tools functions!

I am giving this a 1 star but please understand I only tried the castle nut part and cant speak of anything else on this wrench.
I got my castle nut all torqued down nicely with this wrench using a torque wrench but had a issue with the buffer tube, went to pull it off with the ame wrench and it ended up almost killing the castle nut. No matter what we did we couldnt get a good solid engagement and it literally was ripping parts off the castle nut. Switched to a Tapco wrench for 10 bucks and the difference was instantly noticeable. It engaged strong and hand no want to walk out like this one did. Tapco saved my butt and this one will hopefully be on its way back to Primary Arms (sorry guys). But as for Primary Arms 6 stars! Fast shipping and seriously some of the best packaging to prevent my upper receiver! Will be back for Primary arms for sure!
Great tool for builders.

This thing is awesome. It's really solid and will last many builds. It's got so many tools on it that I didn't even know I'd use. This is a must have for all AR owners whether you have ten AR's or just one. Plus I mean come on it's got a bottle opener what more could you ask for?
does simple job
cheap tool for simple stuff, if u have expansive ar... I recommend using Magpul or other better quality AR wrench.
Probably some better products out there but this is ok.
Reasonably priced and does the job
I was able to tighten my buffer tube, open a beer, install my stock and swap out a muzzle brake with this tool. Good for the money, my only complaint is that the black finish chips off easy.

ncstar 2nd generation ar combo wrench
handy and effective. does the job
Gets the job done
Seems to be more solid then I expected. Used for fairly simple operations at this point but still very useful. Did not damage any surfaces.
What's not to like?
It has everything and works well. Primary Arms ships super fast.
