Couldn't be happier with this Raptor LPVO

by

I received the scope within 3 days after ordering it. Beautiful!
I'm really liking this LPVO scope. The FFP and ACSS reticle with BDC out to 600 yards, 5 mph, 10 mph wind holds, 8.6 mph lead holds, and range estimation stradas are great additions. The windage & elevation adjustments track perfectly with solid tactile and auditable 'clicks'. The glass is surprisingly clear for a $400.00 scope. On the brightest setting (11) it isn't all that bright, but I could still easily see it even on a bright snow-covered Michigan winter afternoon.
Mounted it on my DDM4 Carbine with an American Defense Recon QD mount. Using Federal XM193 FML 5.56 ammo.
Right out of the box it was on paper, (maybe 5" low right) at 100 yards without even bore sighting it. It only took 5 shots to get it zeroed. Shot #5 was dead nuts in the center of the 2" orange sticker target. I don't think I would do any better if I were using a $1000.00 + scope.

Great scope

Best ar scope for the price!

Awesome stuff

by

I use this scope for 2 gun competition for two years now. It's rugged enough to hold zero even when being dumped into drums quickly. I have it sighted in at 50 yds and it translates really well at 200 yds. The BDC is accurate for 300 and 400 yds. At 500 I have to hold just a touch high on the target but it's no big deal as we rarely have targets at that distance. I highly recommend this scope.

Perfect

All I can say is after a little work zeroing this scope in, a squirrel decided to run across the rifle range at ~150 yards and it did not end well for him.

GREAT SCOPE

by -

Some reviews say that this scope is “good for the price point”. Let me tell you that this scope is way better than the price point. Jump on this while the price is this low. This scope is FFP and every bit as light as any SFP scope. It has tough steel, clear glass, very hard to get it to fog up, the etched reticle is clear, and with the lit up reticle, at 1 power, this is basically a red dot, with the capability to go out to 6x. Now I’ve got my eyes set on the 1-8x FFP scope. But I would not pass this up at this price.

Awesome scope

I now have two of these scopes. I've used one on my AR 15 for 2 gun competition for about a year and a half. It's held up to the abuse of being dumped in drums and tossed around like a rag doll. I zero at 50yds then I fine tune it at 200 yds so it point of aim point of impact. The BDC is pretty close with my hand loads I can get hits at 530yds. The new one I just bought is on my AR 10 in 308 also for 2 gun competition. I have not shot it in a match yet but I will this month and I'm sure I'll love it just like the other one. I rarely ever use the illumination unless it's low light. I don't recall changing the battery ever in 18 months. I did use the spare battery that's in the elevation knob for a different optic it was in there tightly and still had plenty of juice. I will definitely buy a third Raptor ACSS when I build another rifle.

Great Scope

by

I have this mounted on a RRA 223/556 with 18" barrel. I love this scope. It is great for CQB on anything to 3 power. From 100yds on up I just go straight to 6. I purchased everything including the mounts and throw lever from PA on their Ebay site. The throw lever addition is a must and totally simplifies the dialing in of magnification quickly. Once you get used to the clocking of the lever and corresponding magnification you can easily dial them in with minimal time. I can tell you that with this setup I can easily shoot .5 MOA and more times than not put rounds on top of one another. I havent done any 300 yard shots yet so I might edit this in the future but I am sure from what I have experienced so far that this is a great scope and I would recommend it to anyone for an addition to your gun.

Great replacement for my Meprolight M21

by -

I chose this to replace my Meprolight M21 due to my aging eyes not working as well as they once did. I am very pleased with the quality and clarity of the Primary Arms Scope. The ACSS-Raptor makes target actuation a breeze.

Competitive LPVO for the price

by -

This LPVO is amazing for its price and works well on ar platform. The reticle allows for quick engagements of targets at varying distances. However, my big complaint is the clear afterthought of the battery compartment on the illuminator knob. The battery compartment and illuminator share the same knob so it's impossible to change the battery, this is very annoying since the battery life isn't that long on this optic.

Great scope; great customer service!

Great scope for the money. Works great on my AR platform and shipped incredibly fast! Tech support was excellent on tip for the mount I ended up purchasing. Just bought a second one for my 5.56 bolt action rifle.
