After rigorous field testing, this optic has been given a Silver-tier rating by the National Tactical Officers Association.

This Primary Arms rifle scope is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics have built a reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.

The Primary Arms 1-6x24 second focal plane scope (Gen III) features the exclusive, patented Advanced Combined Sighting System reticle. Bullet drop compensation, wind holds, moving target leads and range estimation are seamlessly integrated into an easy to use, instinctive sighting system that is very fast from 0-300 yards and very accurate from 300-800 yards. The second focal plane design keeps the reticle the same size at all magnifications for quick acquisition at low power and advanced reticle functionality at 6x maximum power. This Scope is protected by the Primary Arms Lifetime Warranty. If a defect due to materials or workmanship, or even normal wear and tear, has caused your product to malfunction, Primary Arms will either repair or replace your product.

The flagship Gen II 1-6x24 is a tough act to follow, so Primary Arms worked hard to make incremental but real improvements. The Gen III is 18mm shorter (10.04in long), weighs 1.88 ounces less (16.9 oz. total), and has an additional 10 MOA of internal adjustment compared to the older model. The ACSS® reticle has also been improved, now featuring a chevron center aiming point rather than a dot.

Partial red reticle illumination is provided by a single (included) CR2032 battery, and a spare battery is included inside the windage turret cap. A total of 11 settings take the reticle all the way up to daylight bright. All lenses are fully multicoated for maximum light transmission and the 6063 aluminum body is Type II hard anodized in matte black.

Fog Resistant

by

Nice scope, but any scope that is 300 bucks, should be fog PROOF, not resistant, and since you said it was only resistant, that means you don't have to cover that under lifetime warranty.

From PA: The scope is still warranted against internal moisture buildup. We don't like to advertise Fog Proof as it causes confusion for our customers. All optics will fog externally if taken from one extreme temp and humidity level to another.

Bought this scope with my bonus

by

Got to try her out today at the range at 100 yards, pretty tight groupings, I recommend this scope to anyone that wants a cheap 1-6x

All I can say is wow!

by

I have to say I am impressed! Got it zeroed with my 16" AR and started ringing steel at 300-400-500-600 yards! Even took head shots at 500! BDC is spot on with 55gr!

Great scope for the $

by

Took this to the Angeles Range on Thursday and have to say it's a really great scope, after zeroing my groups were fantastic and had no issues hitting the steel plates at 300 yds, I'd definitely recommend this scope.

Love it.

I purchased this for 3-gun. It is an amazing scope. Clear and bright with bright illumination. I looked at a lot of other scopes but the reticles didn't wow me. The lifetime warranty and chevron of the Gen III made me "take a risk" on this one (that and the good things I have heard about it) and it has really won me over.

Awesome

by

Awesome glass, clarity, reticle, etc. Value is off the charts with this scope. If you do not like the reticle on the Vortex Strike Eagle, definitely pick this up.

Amazing.

Overall Happy, But...

by -

Overall Happy. Glass is clear. However:
Top portion of eye box is blurry, so full eyebox is pretty well unusable to me.
Mine weighed 17-18 oz, far from the 15.52 oz advertised weight. I know 15.52 oz is without battery/caps/flip ups, but nobody runs them like that to claim they are 1.88 oz lighter than the Gen II (17.4 oz).
Lastly, I preferred the center dot over the chevron. I know the chevron is for a more precise zero, but a BDC reticle isn't a precision reticle, which is why i like the dot. It covered a 1/2" paster at 100 yds almost perfectly.

Pleasantly Surprised and Quite Impressed!

First, I’m a bit of a scope snob. Not because I’m independently wealthy, but because I’ve always lived by the "buy once, cry once" philosophy. If the scope didn't start in the $800 range, I didn't give it a second look. I didn't want to replace it in a year or end up wishing I’d paid a little more for better glass. What good is an accurate rifle if you can't see through the optic? I also discounted Chinese-made scopes contracted out by companies that were not in the scope-making business (think Vortex, Leupold, Burris). I now own a PA 1-6x Gen 3, PA 1-8x, and PA 4-14x. Primary Arms has put all these reservations to rest! Is the glass or eyebox as nice as my $1000 1-6x FFP scope? No, but it gives it a run for the money, and is $700 cheaper! I am very happy with this scope. So, if you were like me agonizing about whether or not this scope was really worth spending your hard-earned money on, DOUBT NO LONGER!

A good choice

by

I put one of these on my DPMS 308 and I'm very happy to say it's a good choice. The 1x is very clear with a huge field of view 6x is crisp with good eye relief. I researched many brands and I'm glad I went with Primary Arms.

Great Variable AR Scope with Superb Reticle

by

This is my first variable-power scope. My go-to optic has been a Vortex Spitfire 3x up to this point. After reading and viewing reviews I chose this over the Strike Eagle, and over other scopes costing exponentially more. I mounted it on a POF Renegade+ with an AmDef Recon mount. Took it to a 4-night rifle class. Amazing results! Hitting steel at 400 yards, head shots at 50. Good eye relief for fast target acquisition. I'm near-sighted and keep the power at 3x most of the time. Scope is awesome.
