The Classic Series™ proves that entry-level optics don’t have to be poor quality optics. Unlike some other brands, they don’t use the word “value” as a euphemism for “junk”. Classic Series scopes are perfect for the budget conscious and the new shooter. They take the time to 100% inspect every product in the facility in Houston to ensure you are receiving the best quality product as the other three tiers. These scopes are backed by the same excellent customer service and support as all other Primary Arms products.

The Primary Arms 3-9x44 SFP Classic Small Caliber Scope combines traditional features with great value. Its simple design features a 30mm main tube, finger adjustable turrets protected by turret caps, a quick adjust ocular, and a simple duplex crosshair reticle. The second focal plane design keeps the reticle the same size at any magnification. The 3-9x44 SFP Classic Scope is a great basic rifle scope for rimfire up to 5.56 NATO caliber.

Features:

  • Great for .22 up to 5.56
  • Second focal plane duplex reticle
  • Fully multicoated lens for optimal light transmission
  • Waterproof and fog proof
  • Nitrogen purged
  • Generous eye relief
  • Compatible with Butler Creek flip-up lens covers

With a generous eye relief of 3.8 inches and an exit pupil of 11.5mm to 3.1mm depending on magnification setting, the 3-9x44 SFP Classic Scope presents a quick, crisp sight picture that outclasses other entry level rifle scopes. Thin Edge Technology provides a consistently clear sight picture from edge to edge. The glass clarity and unobstructed field of view makes plinking, target shooting, or hunting small game a joy. Yet the 3-9x44 SFP Classic costs less than the competition—in fact, it is the most affordable optic Primary Arms has ever made. Waterproof, fog resistant, nitrogen purged, and featuring fully multi-coated lenses, the 3-9x44 SFP Classic Scope comes complete with lens covers. The 3-9x44 Classic Series rifle scope is protected by the Primary Arms lifetime warranty.

5 Stars for under $100.

OK, it's not a $300+ scope. Something's gotta give. All I can see is there is a little distortion. Very clear glass. Plenty of light with the 30 mm tube. Very little black ring around the field of view when looking through it. Know what I mean... That black ring between the scope view and peripheral view outside the scope. If you look through a cheap Nikon, you know what I mean. I hate that thick black ring. It seems like it is taking up most of the field of view. This scope does not have that thick black ring. It has a nice field of view. For under $100, this scope is 5 stars.

It Works.

Sighted her in at the range, literally 2cm to the left of factory setting at 50 yards. Banged around during a hog hunt and smeared mud all over the thing. Washed off on the boat and sight picture is just as clear. Still holds zero. Got bored one day, stuck the scope under my truck tire and backed over it a couple of times. Scoped fared just fine, point of impact shifted 1 nanometer.

Yeah, I'd say I got my hundred bucks out of this thing.

WAY better than expected.

I purchased this scope awhile back, but never really ended up using it. recently my scope on my 223 bolt action broke right before a range outing, so I threw this on and took off. honestly this scope is beautiful looking. really bright and clear image. Im not sure how it will hold up over time, but I put about 100 rounds down range over the 3.5 hours I was there with no issues.

Great for the money.

I have this scope mounted on a Crickett Precision Rifle and for the price, the glass on is pretty awesome. Turrets are GREAT! Loudest, cleanest, and tactile clicks I've ever felt on a scope. They are capped unfortunately, but for the cost I don't expect anything else. I think the reticle might be a slightly bit canted 1 or 2 degrees, but that might just be the one I got. The eye relief is a little finicky, especially at 9x. You really have to have your eye at the exact relief or there is scope shadow. Nice thin duplex reticle and very basic. For what I'm using it for I don't think I will ever have any issues. Overall, a great scope for what you pay for. Its not a little whimpy scope either.

Perfect for 5.56 bench gun and 22lr

Perfect for 5.56 and 22lr. Originally mounted an an 18" 5.56 for about 300 rounds with no issues. Ended up putting on a single shot 22lr, i have no complaints. Good quality for tue price.

At this price, who can complain?

For what it costs, this is an absolutely amazing optic. I’ve got one of these on three rifles now, a .17 HMR, a .22lr, and a .22 Mag. The body feels solid and looks nice, but more importantly the glass is clear, turret adjustments are precise and have a good tactile feel, and it holds zero just fine. The one on my .22 mag has been exposed to both extreme cold and heat, as well as snow, rain, a dust storm, and has iced up with sleet, and it has held up just fine with no issues at all. Eye relief at max power is a little more finicky than more expensive scopes, but it’s nothing that can’t be easily compensated for and it’s forgivable at this price. The simple Duplex reticle is clear and precise, but it’s a very basic design so you won’t be ranging with the scope and will need to know how your rifle shoots so you can hold to compensate for drop at longer distances. Don’t be dumb; this isn’t a $500+ rifle scope, but it performs as good if not better than $200 Vortex and Nikon optics.

Squirrels Hate This!

Pros: Scope feels rugged. Clicks are solid. Glass is quality for what you pay. Actually came perfectly zeroed at 50yds. My first two zeroing shots w cmmg 22lr barrel were bulls-eyed on top of each other.

Cons: A little heavy paired w their basic scope mount ($10 if bought w scope). I definitely noticed the weight added to my cmmg AR22 conversion.

Best bang for your buck

I have purchased 2 of these and mounted on AR platform rifles and they are perfect!! My kiddo killed her first deer last year (little 8 point) with one on a 6.5 Grendel build.
