The Precision Defense 7.62x39mm M16 Complete Bolt Carrier Group is machined from high-quality materials to ensure your AR-15 will run reliably as long as you have ammo to shoot it with. The carrier body is machined from 8620 steel and finished in black Nitride for its slick and durable qualities making it run extremely smooth in your receiver. It features an M16 cut allowing it to be full auto rated and the extra weight helps to reduce bolt bounce. The bolt is machined from 9310 steel and magnetic particle inspected to ensure all the dimensions are properly cut to allow for reliable lockup on the locking lugs. The extractor is made from S7 tool steel to withstand thousands of rounds and the gas key is machined from a stock of billet steel with properly staked screws. The Precision Defense 7.62x39mm Bolt Carrier Group is an affordable and reliable option for building an AR whether it is your first or tenth.

Purchased as a backup

Purchased as a backup so will hopefully not get much use, but I did of course do some testing with it and it worked as expected. Now it is all cleaned up, greased up, and packed away.

Terrible product

after 30 round (shooting wolf steel case), it became miss fired every 4 out of 6. Took the bolt apart, the firing pin head look like a mushroom shape. the retaining pin not be able to come back in.
Borrow my friend parts and reassembled, it works fine.

Good Value BCG

I purchased this as a spare but will probably switch it to a primary role. This appears to be a well-made, good quality BCG, making it a good value overall for the money I paid for it on sale.

Terrible quality control

I bought one of these last September, and set it aside as a spare. I have several ARs in this configuration, and like it.

I assembled an upper yesterday, the BCG was the final part. I opened my package and ... it would not fit. After carefully examining it, the bolt carrier itself is NOT straight, there is a slight bow. Not a sharp bend anywhere, the whole thing is curved, so that when placed on a flat surface, only the outer edges touch.

I have reached out to Primary, but since we're out of the return window, I don't expect anything to be done.
