The Primary Arms 2.5X Compact Prism Scope with ACSS CQB-M1 reticle is the lightweight, do-everything scope you've been looking for. The low 2.5X magnification and bright illuminated reticle allow for fast, both-eyes-open shooting at close range, while the ACSS CQB-M1 reticle allows for easy hits on targets out to an impressive 600 yards. Whether you're looking for a new scope for competition, hunting, or plinking, why look any further?
- ACSS 5.56 CQB-M1 reticle has BDC and ranging out to 600 yards with 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, 5.45x39mm, and .308 Winchester
- Fully illuminated reticle is visible even in bright daylight
- Optional M1913 Picatinny top rail for piggy-backed red dot sights
- Generous 10.16mm exit pupil allows for a bright sight picture and forgiving eye box
- 37.5ft field of view at 100 yards provides easier tracking of mobile targets
- 2.7" of eye relief
- 1/2 MOA turret clicks are tactile and audible for easy zeroing
- Tough prism scope is waterproof, fog resistant, and shockproof
- Durable Type II hardcoat anodized black finish
- Compatible with standard AR15 carry handle mounts
- Protected by a 1-year warranty
The heart of our tough 2.5X Prism Scope is the ACSS 5.56 CQB-M1 reticle that combines ranging, wind leads, moving target leads, and ballistic drop compensation out to 600 yards. The outer horseshoe of the glass etched reticle is used for close quarters engagement, simply place the generous semi-circle on the target and run with it! Each side of the horseshoe also has our integrated ranging system. Place the bottom of the target on the bottom rung and range up. If you know your targets are roughly 18 inches wide, they can be ranged on the side Auto Range system, or directly on the BDC hold overs! Two dots on either side of the inner horseshoe offer a moving target lead moving with an average speed of 8.6 MPH. Each step of the BDC system includes a 5 MPH wind hold, drastically improving first hit probability at any range. As an added bonus, the glass etched reticle does not require batteries or illumination, but 11 brightness settings (including daylight bright) allow for fast acquisition in close quarters, or enhanced visibility in fading light, powered by a common CR2032 battery!
The PAC2.5X offers mounting flexibility to suit your needs. The included thumbscrew 1913 MIL-STD Picatinny mount can be removed and replaced with any mount that accepts AR-15 carry handle-type optics, or simply so you can mount the 2.5x Prism Scope directly to an AR-15 style carry handle. Optionally, shooters can add an M1913 picatinny rail to the top of the optic to piggyback a red dot back up sight. The PAC2.5X offers the perfect amount of magnification to balance close quarters speed with hits at medium range, in a flexible and durable package.

Great fixed power scope for short to medium shooting
by Paul -
I am very pleased with my new Prism Scope. It was shipped securely and arrived with no problem on time. It installed quickly and operation was simple. I shot it at 25 yards to start my zeroing process and it shot consistently. I walked it up in 3 groups of two to zero and had a 1/4" group. I am shooting with a 300 ACC so ACSS ranging won't apply to me.
Great optic for the price.
I bought this on a Black Friday special. I am very impressed so far.
A unique optic that definitely deserves your consideration

Okay obviously at this price point the scope is made in China. True what other reviewers have said; you gotta tighten down all the hex screws first, with the enclosed allen wrench. Even the four screws on the rear face. After that, I really like this fixed mag prismatic scope/red dot. If you have astigmatism like I have, the reticle and center dot is crisp. The illumination is clear even in daylight and at max intensity. 2.5 magnification is just right for inside work or out past 100 yds. Eye relief at 2.7 inches is generous and will keep your nose out of your charging handle. The visual field is large. The on/off switch for illumination is a taut dial, not a button. Feels just like my Trijicon MRO. I have a Sig Romeo 5 red dot and I really hate the "buttons" for the illumination control. The unit is fairly compact and not too heavy. So yeah, I am very satisfied with this optic and can reccommend it.
Well worth the money!
This optic is well worth the money! I recently mounted it on my tactical AR, and it was far more than I expected it would be. It is very well-constructed and aesthetically pleasing! I LOVE IT!
It’s illuminated reticle just adds to its quality.

Don’t believe what you hear on YouTube the 2.5 prism is perfect scope. I have astigmatism and red dots don’t work for me this is the perfect solution for up close in for midrange shooting when it goes on sale I will buy another one.
by Brody -
Can’t believe the quality for this price. I wish I had bought one sooner. I would have saved a fortune on higher end optics with the same performance.
I really love this thing

I have had this scope for a little while now and I have to say it is great. I was really impressed with it and still am.
I put it on a new build and first shot was dead center in the bulls eye... (yeah I know there was some luck on that). The thing is crystal clear and I am a huge fan of the reticle really great and intuitive. No issue with losing zero and I can get some really good grouping with this.
I got this on sale and it was a great deal for the price range I doubt it can be beaten. I would highly recommend it.
Great optic, maybe change out screws on mount.
by Chris -
I put this on my AR9 and quickly got it zeroed in at 25yds. I was able to reliably hit at 100yds. Reticle is crisp, even with illumination, and glass is really clear.
However, the base of the mount had a wobble in it right out of the box. So I put some blue loctite on the threads. The heads of the allen screws seemed soft and I wasn't very confident in getting them snugged down.
From PA- If that mount is giving you any trouble at all, please contact us and we'll be happy to replace it for you.
Great all-round optic
by Alan -
Love this optic! Mounted it on a 12.5" AR pistol. Took three clicks to zero it. Accurate, lightweight and looks great sitting on my gun. I like the duality of the optic: it works well as a red-dot for close-in, and magnifies just right for distance shooting. I'd say it is good for 100-200 yards. Anyways, my tired eyes need some help with all types of shooting and this little beauty does an excellent job. My wife now wants one for her rifle. Buy this, you won't regret it. Primary Arms does a fantastic job with their optics. This is my third one.
Great scope for fast shots up close and good for long shots too!
by Darron -
I just sighted this in on my new AR 15. I haven't shot at anything over 50 yards yet but I like this scope so far. I can get fast hits with it at 50 yards.
Great for close to mid range.
by Bruce -
I have run this scope for about 2 months and about 700 rounds. Glass quality is great, not as good as acog but exceptional for price range. Good turrets. Now the reasons for 4 star. The bolts from base to optic came loose first time out, used blue loctite and held zero since then. Battery life is really short, the batteries are cheap so I keep several in pistol grip. This is a great close quarters optic. I knew that when I bought it. But I feel discrimination is misleading especially for new shooter. You are not going to be capable of aimed fire at 600 yards. Advertised as a 600 yards recital REALLY?!?!. Shipping was great. Got shipped same day and well packaged. Can’t ask for better. This really is a great optic for what it’s meant for, close to mid range fire, would not recommend for past about 250-300 yards, but super fast and super clear glass. Buy with confidence but if you need to shoot out to further ranges get more power.
A deal at full price, a steal on sale

Been eyeing this for a while for a 10.5 pistol. When I saw it on sale, I couldn't resist. Really clear glass just like the 1-6x on my other build. Arrived quick like all my Primary Arms orders. I've still got get out and put them through their paces.
by Nyk -
Close enough to zero I could hit what I was shooting at out of the box.
Easy once zeroed to shoot and range using the reticle
Great Optic !

Mounted on my 10.5 inch AR Pistol. Out to 400 yards and everything inside that, this ACSS is just Awesome. Once sighted in it’s deadly accurate and fast. For the sale price you just can’t go wrong especially if you have older eyes.
The etched reticle is great. I removed my backup sights as I don’t see the need for them which would be my only negative for this optic. It’s a brick, pretty heavy for what it is compared to an Acog. But every bit as good IMHO.
I love it and will be purchasing again. Christmas presents for my boys ;).
I had this scope for several months before I took it to the range. The reason it took so long was because I was abit disappointed in the reticle. I figured I'd keep it due to the quality that I'm used to from PA. I finally got around to taking it out and man this thing rocks for target acquisition. It's faster, at cqb, than any scope I've owned.....Spitfire, PA 1x6, aimpoint etc. It's tough and durable. A bit larger than I expected but no bigger than my vortex spitfire 3x and to be honest I cannot tell the difference in magnification between the two. This scope is a great scope but the price puts it at excellent.
what I think
by ANTHONY -
Hello,
I have been to a few gun shows that featured some PA scopes and I was not overly impressed at the time. However, the price it listed for online got me thinking differently. Reading the reviews from others, I took the chance. I can safely say that it was a really good gamble. The first chance I could, I took it to the range, zeroed and shot with it. My impression is the glass is clear, the reciticle is really cool and it was really easy to zero. I did not torture test it, nor did I do anything that was beyond a semi normal day at the range. So far after about 100rds there has not been any issues. The firearm I have it on is a AR pistol build in 7.62x39. The maximum range I shot out to was only a 100yrds and I was able to hit where I aimed. I believe that the only real limits to this scope will be myself and length of the barrel which is 7.5in.
I would buy again.

Lets start off by saying great quality, clear glass, overall very nice purchase. Now lets be honest this is for 200 yards and in. It has all of those bullet drop marks but It would be spray and pray after 250 yards imo. If you like a red dot but need some magnifacation this is for you. If you are looking to drive tacks with this thing it ain't happening. I have 20/20 vision as well so take that for what its worth? So I like it and think I may grow to love it. This is a good product overall.
From PA: Check out the videos on you tube of this optic being used from 400 to 600 yards.
Just Buy It

This is my very first PA product, and I am happy I purchased it! Especially for the outstanding sale price, with FREE shipping! If you buy, you won't regret it!
Good scope, AWESOME support!
by Robby -
The 5 stars are for the AWESOME tech support and fast response of that support. On the scope alone I would give a 4.5 The reticle is some what smaller than I expected so good eyesight is a big plus with this scope.
Very good hunting optic for AR-15
This is a great fixed magnification prism scope. I have this on a 16" barreled 7.62x39 upper I use for pig hunting. Really like the lighted reticle, especially when hunting at night and using green LED flashlights. Rugged without being too heavy. Clear optic. This makes for a good hunting optic out to 300 yards. After that, I'm needing more than 2.5x.
Perfect for my 10.5" Pistol
by Sean P.
Picked this 2.5X prism up from an authorized local dealer, and I just love it. The glass and reticle are clear and sharp. It works great in the day without any illumination. Inside at the range where it is darker, I turn up the reticle illumination to about 4 and it is more than enough. This thing goes up to 11 - and it is on-fire red at that point.
Zeroing the scope took all of 10 rounds. I plan to take it out past 100 yards this weekend.
As others have suggested, the two bolts that secure the mounting base are unreasonably loose, from the factory. It is MANDATORY that you use a liberal application of BLUE thread-locker on that connection. I've not needed any thread-locker on the cross-bolt nuts as of yet. I am looking into an American Defense or MI ACOG QD mount. The two-hole base mounting footprint on this scope is the same as these ACOG mounts.
Works great for my Bushmaster/Bear Creek 6.5 Grendel
Put it on a Bear Creek Arsenal 6.5 Grendel 16" upper. Zeroed at 50yds, hitting 1.7" high at 100yds. Works great.
It's great for midrange
The scope itself absolutely awesome. this magnification scope is not for 600 yards. Trying to put the bullet comp drop dots on a Target at that range with this magnification is unnecessarily difficult. I would suggest getting the 5× magnification.. but this is the perfect medium range scope. It is perfect for what I use it for
This sight would be perfect with loctite
by Jef -
Sighted this sight in the day after buying it. Great sight, hands down one of the best values out there. Do yourself a favor and loctite the base to the scope before you send a single round down range though. It rattled loose after about 10 rounds. After that issue was resolved it dead on accurate.
Spend Your Money
by G. L. -
I'm gonna get the negatives out of the way first... The lens caps are poor quality compared to the rest of the optic. The mounting screws can vibrate loose pretty easily under sustained fire (this is why we have Loctite however). Also, the eye relief is a little tight for me.
Everything else about this optic is pure gold. Clear glass with great light transmission, solid adjustment knobs, excellent reticle with quality illumination. Sharp, audible clicks when you adjust. The dual-purpose reticle is very easy to acquire (even without illumination) and is perfect for close- to mid-range shooting. It definitely gets tougher past 300yds, but that isn't really what this optic is designed for. While it's not an ACOG, it competes very well... Not to mention that it only costs 20-30% of what an ACOG runs. If you need a good all-around optic, get one. You will not be disappointed.
