This Primary Arms rifle scope is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics have built a reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.

The Primary Arms 4-14x44mm rifle scope was the first step into first focal plane (FFP) optics and remains one of the most cost-effective options on the market. Having a reticle stay 'true' through the entire magnification range opens a world of possibility for hunters, marksman, and competitors everywhere. Add in "built like a tank" construction and a lifetime warranty, and it's easy to see why this scope is so popular.

Features:
  • Traditional MIL-DOT reticle can be used to accurately range and holdover
  • First Focal Plane reticle stays true at all magnifications
  • High strength aircraft grade aluminum body
  • Side-adjustable parallax and fast focus eye piece for crisp view of the target and reticle
  • 30mm main tube compatible with your favorite rings and mounts
  • Tactile and audible 1/10 MIL windage and elevation adjustments
  • Exposed tactical style turrets with Zero Reset
  • Shockproof, waterproof, and fog resistant
  • Parallax adjusts from 15 yards to infinity!
  • Excellent glass clarity

At the heart of the 4-14x44mm rifle scope is the first focal plane MIL-DOT reticle. Properly matched with MIL/MIL turret adjustments, this traditional reticle in use by military forces in almost every country allows shooters to range and find their hold overs without being forced to use caliber specific BDC systems. Each dot is .25 MILs with a full MIL measured from the center of one dot to the next. For shooters who want a proven reticle with wide spread military acceptance, the MIL-DOT is perfect for you.

A scope that won’t hold up to real world use won’t do any good, so they built the 4-14x44mm FFP tactical rifle scope to last with a heavy-duty aircraft grade 6063 aluminum body and 30mm main tube. Waterproof, shockproof, and fog resistant, this scope is perfectly at home on an AR-15 or your favorite hunting rifle. Even better, the MIL/MIL turrets track correctly through their full 17.5 MIL adjustment range, allowing for confident adjustments for shooters who prefer to count their clicks. With clear glass, heavy duty construction, and a true first focal plane reticle that can be leveraged at every magnification, the 4-14x44mm rifle scope from Primary Arms offers shooters a versatile and effective rifle scope, covered by a lifetime warranty!

22lr plinker scope

by

I bought this to put into a Larue Tactical LT104 mount that I had laying about. This setup is being mounted on a CMMG 22lr Mk4LE. I've only had it out for one outing. Got it sighted in and put about 100 rounds down range. Works well. Reticle is crisp. Glass is clear and bright.

Amazing!!!

by

I built a custom AR with top of the line every thing. Lilja barrel, geisseele trigger, top brand scope, etc.... And getting a 3" spread at 100yds. After a lot of head scratching I ordered this scope. Mounted it up, sighted it in and now shooting 1/4" to 1/2" groups at 100. I can see the holes on paper also with this scope. I will defiantly buy more of these.

winning

I compared this against my Weaver (800363), and a SWFA 3-15. The PA has better glass/coatings than the SWFA for dealing with mirage. Has more positive sounding clicks than either, and better feeling than the SWFA. Hash marks line up better than either too. Let's be honest, while annoying, that is a COMMON problem of those $7-800 scopes. MANY of those scopes need rails or offset rings to make 1,000 yards also. My PA has 34.2 mils, just need a set of regular PA rings; which are quite nice also.

Great Glass

I dare you to go out and find another scope this nice for this amount of money. You cant. The FFP looks outstanding. The 4-14 is perfect. The contraction is very tight. I like it more than my louie MK4. Dead honest. It has nothing to do with the scope, but i wish you offered a honeycomb shade for it. The long additional shade is almost useless.

Outstanding Scope

by

I did a lot of research before buying this scope and had a couple of options in mind. However, this scope had all the features of an $800.00 and up scope at a fraction of the price. It is a great looking scope and provides me with the features and quality I was seeking. I am considering buying another for my S&W M&P 10.

What a great scope! It has nothing to do with $$.

I don't usually bother writing reviews for products, but this PA 4-14x44 FFP scope has really left me proud after a two-day range trip this past weekend. Once we zeroed in this scope at 25 yard for my PWS AR-15, we ran through different ranges all the way up to 400 yards, and this scope has performed beyond all my expectation. I compared the image quality of this PA scope with my Vortex 6.5-20x44 and Bushnell Elite 4.5-30x50, and immediately it became obvious that the glass from this PA simply offers a much sharper image than the other two. The Vortex and Bushnell Elite have image distortion around the edge; yet this $200 PA FFP scope has nothing of the sorts, no matter how hard I was trying to justify their qualities based on their price. You can make precise AND accurate adjustments via the very well-engineered turrets on this scope. Not only do they offer a tactile and audible click when you dial in, they also allowed me to do the box drill all the way up to 400 yards.

one nice scope

by

I generally don't buy an item based only on it reviews... i done my research on this product and its cheap he best variable zoom first focal plain scope your gonna get.. i returned to zero every time took it out to 300 yards (1.3) mils i had to click up and took it back to zero and it grouped sub moa where it last did... if your on the fence and don't know if you should buy it or not. Do your self a favor and get it. My only wish is that they would add an adjustable zero stop to the turrets and a lifetime warranty to give the buyer peace of mind

So far so good

by

I have not had a chance to get out and shoot my rifle. However, I have been able to look through this scope and the glass is very clear.

Great scope

by

I have not had too much experience in tactical scopes that didn't cost three times more than the rifle they are mounted on, but this scope is performing great mounted to 300 WM and is holding zero perfectly. The FFP is a really nice feature and the fact that the reticle and turrets are both in MILS is nice. Definitely the best glass for the price. I recommend this scope to anyone who wants to save some cash, it performs comparably to scopes costing twice as much out to 1000 yards.

Very good so far

by

I have this mounted on my .260, and it works exactly as I wanted. Adjustments are as they should be for elevation and windage, and the side focus is spot on. I found it very easy to zero, and the glass is more clear with less edge distortion than my Bushnell elite tactical fixed 10 power. So far I've put 40 rounds through this gun and scope combination. Turrets are a little mushy but get better if tightened properly after zeroed. Clicks are very audible and the scope feels extremely solid.
