This Primary Arms red dot sight is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics built their reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.

The full size 30mm red dot is back and better than ever! The PA30MMRD-AD is the Advanced Full Size 30mm Red Dot with an estimated 14,000 hours of battery life, three night-vision compatible brightness settings, a lifetime warranty, and much more. The true 1x field of view and crisp 2 MOA dot combine for an unbeatably quick and precise sight picture while shooting with both eyes open. This red dot sight is protected by the Primary Arms Limited Lifetime Warranty. If a defect due to materials or workmanship, or even normal wear and tear, has caused your product to malfunction, Primary Arms will either repair or replace your product.

Features:
  • True 1x field of view
  • Black anodized finish
  • 30mm tube diameter
  • 2 MOA red dot
  • 10 brightness settings
  • Includes battery and lens covers
  • Lifetime warranty

The first three brightness settings out of ten are night vision compatible and can only be seen when the red dot is used together with a separate night vision device. Turning the rotary switch until it stops in either direction will turn the red dot completely off. At the highest settings the 2 MOA dot is instantly acquired by the eye even in bright daylight. The 30mm Advanced Red Dot uses the latest LED technology to display a dot that is a deeper red in color, and appears more sharply as a perfect 2 MOA circle.

The one-piece main body is stronger and lighter than previous full size red dots. It is compatible with any industry standard 30mm type red dot mount and will give the stated co-witness of those mounts. The Primary Arms High Cantilever mount (PAHICANT) is a great choice for a solid basic mount on AR-15s and many other rifles. The Advanced Red Dot Sight is powered from the factory by a single 1/3N “button” battery, but in a pinch you can substitute two LR44 batteries in the same battery compartment.

Awesome Red Dot

by -

Yes! This is an awesome 30MM Red Dot for the price. We have been waiting for these to come out for several months now. Completely satisfied with the quality and looks. We ran this on a 7.62x39 on a 10.5 inch barrel, mounted it on a American Defense QD mount. The crispness of the reticle and the clarity of the glass is amazing. I would purchase this over an Aim Point. Primary Arms definitely hit it out of the ball park with this one. Number One in Customer Service, Quality & Price.

Great red dot!

I've had this red dot on my diamond back ar15 for around a couple of years now. Sighted it in once and never have had to touch it again. Batteries are still the originals. Very happy I found and purchased this red dot rather than a much more expensive one.

I am impressed

by -

I bought one of these guys, very impressed with the optic and the mount, especially like the low distortion of the dot even at max brightness. had 2 aimpoint pro patrol and they both distorted the dot, i saw 2 dots with the aimpoints. sold them both, have gone to vortex strikefire and now this one, i really like this one and see more of them in my future

Buy it! Don't second guess...

I got one of these a couple years ago & they discontinued them shortly after. They used to be around $70-$80 then. I see they raised the price on them quite a bit but honestly, it's worth it. These are awesome little red dots. Mine is mounted with a vortex cantilever mount. I absolutely love it. It has held zero for two years. If you are thinking about buying one, go for it. You won't be disappointed. I will definitely get another one soon. PA optics are top notch.

Great Optic for the $$

I have it mounted and took it out for its first range trip. Great optic for a 9mm carbine. I wasn't smart enough to figure out the cap retainer though. Great for a situation you don't want to invest in an Aimpoint!

This a top buy, without a doubt. One of the best I have used and at a fraction of the price!!!

I have had this red dot for about 3 months. I have run it through the gauntlet of testing.

But I have put 280 45/70 rnds through it, and 25 magnum level buffalo bore rounds. It has never lost zero giving me 1 hole groups at 50 yds, and 2" goups at 100yds.

So there's the pounding part of it. I have also put through it more then 4000 rounds of 223/5.56. It has held zero perfectly, I have run it through CQB classes, it has been dropped more then I can count in class, and has held zero.

It is a finer dot leading to tighter groups then it's competition. It has 2 Night Vision settings that work well though I never shot with the set up I did play with a friends NV scope on it.
This was the scope that was on my 45/70 this year when I took my first deer at 87 yds with a perfect shot. Having the extra eye relieve over a scope was a BIG help in a magnum recoiling 45/70 rifle.

Great red dot, especially for the price.

I recently did an in-depth review of this over at TTAG:

Bottom line: excellent buy

Amazing quality for the price

by

I've had one of these optics for a long time. It currently sits on top of my 5.56 SBR and to this day it has continuously held zero. I've changed the batteries on it a couple of times and that's it. It's been banged around in my safe a time or two and ran several classes with it and it just keeps on running like a top. For an inexpensive red dot optic, you can't get better quality than this in my opinion.

Passed my patrol rifle qual right out of the box

by -

Very impressed with this sight so far. Out of the box and mounted on my 10.5" AR, I ran it through my agency's rifle qualification course. Was right on the money out to 100 yards. I'll bench it soon to get it zero'd for 50 yds, but I was happy with how accurate it was right out of the box. Very clear glass, bright enough dot, and looks great. I'll be buying this sight from now on any time I need a quality rifle red dot sight.

Dont think twice about it and buy it

I put this on my LWRC DI 5.56 and it worked amazingly for me. Got it zeroed pretty quickly, feels really sturdy, glass is nice and clear and no flickering or any of that while shooting not to mention it makes my rifle look sexy as hell 😁 will definitely be buying more for future rifles and the best part shipping is super fast no waiting forever.
