Too excited for a battery cap

This is exactly what my battery sucking LPVO needed to spare me from carrying 20 pounds of CR2032's in my gear. Paired perfectly with the Vortex Strike Eagle II. Shut off time seems to be right about 2 minutes and pops the light right up with minimal motion.
I never would have expected to be excited about a battery cap, but is exactly what the scope needed.

Seems to be a solid piece of equipment. However, it does not fit the Primary Arms slx red dot nor the slx 3-18x50 scope I have.
I should have checked the specs before purchasing not one, but two of these. Live and learn I suppose. 🤷🏻♂️

After seeing the AutoLive battery cover in a video from Shot Show I couldn’t wait to get one. After months of waiting it arrived 10/19/23. Actually a total of three now. The AutoLive battery cap works great in our Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6 & 1-8 LPVOs. Removing the lock ring on the cap allows the cap to work in the Strike Eagle 5-25x56 although only about 2 full threads engage. The cap also works in our Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x50 and TenPoint crossbow scope but does not work with the Vortex Crossfire II crossbow scope.
It doesn’t take much movement to activate and goes dormant after about 2 minutes of sitting. This is the ideal addition for our home defense AR 300 BO with subsonics. As I come up with other applications for the cap I will either edit this review or enter a new one. Either way, if these are available order it. I imagine they will sell out inventory as quickly as they are restocked.

I purchased this for a Strike Eagle, and it’s worked as advertised on every optic that I’ve tried it on that uses a 2032 battery with a cap that threads inside the optic…red dots included…..I think it’s a great addition to your optic!!

I bought this to try on my Primary Arms SLx 3x32mm Gen III Prism Scope - ACSS CQB-M2 Reticle - 5.56 but it does not fit this or my other 3 PA prism scopes. I tried it on my Sun Optics Mantis 30MM 1-6X24mm and it worked perfectly. Hopefully, PA will make one that fits onto their prism combat optics in the future. Great product.

Whether you call it Autolive, MOTAC or Shake Awake I love having an illuminated optic that I don't have to turn on and off. I bought one of these for my Windham Weaponry CDI with a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6 and it works perfectly. After 2 minutes of not sensing movement it goes to sleep and wakes up the moment the firearm is moved.
