Eh, could be better...

Mounting bolts stripped before I ever got to take it to the range. Looked nice though.
I bought this mount based on all the 5 star reviews.
by Roger
First of all hats off to Primary Arms for their wicked fast shipping and great customer service. I purchased this scope mount because of all the 5 star reviews. Mine was delivered pre-scratched I guess it must have been returned from a customer to PA before I received it. No big deal chances are it would probably end up getting scratched by me at some point anyway. What sucks is how easy it scratches. I don't think that the finish is very good. The description says it is anodized. I guess I was expecting a better tooling process. The edges are not sharp and smooth as the pictures would lead you to believe instead they look more like no name accessories you might buy on eBay from China. Anyway with all that aside my other observation is that it heavier than I was expecting the description does mention that it weighs a pinch over a half pound. OK those are the negatives that I noticed right off the bat now for the positives. It seems very sturdy. I'll probably change out the star head mounting bolts in favor of allen head bolts from the local hardware store. (Whoops another negative slipped in there). I like the fact that each ring cap has four bolts that makes it much more secure. I like the idea of a one piece scope mount it just makes sense. I was concerned that the ring placements on a one piece mount might not be ideal for my scope but it works fine for my Nikon P-223 scope. It's pretty much centered on the mount and the eye relief is good. In my opinion this is a decent scope mountbut 5 stars? I don't think so.
Nice Mount
by Ted
Nice mount for the price. A little heavy at 8.2 oz compared to others. I lapped mine for a better fit. Make sure it's torqued properly.
I don't care what my mom says, primary arms is awesome
by Daniel
Used this to mount a Primary Arms 4-14X scope to an AR-15. It worked fantastically and never came loose or lost zero despite being tossed around. After years of taking it on and off the rifle, I eventually stripped out the screws by over tightening them one time. Contacted primary arms and they shipped me an entire new mount the next day, free of charge. Will continue buying all the gear from them I need.
Lap these before first use!
by VinceU1
You will REALLY want to lap the rings. What this mount did to the bottom of my PA 4-14 ACSS scope was painful to see. After I lapped the rings, this mount worked well and look good also.
Rock solid mount.

Rock solid mount, quick set up. A must for the 1-8 30mm Primary Arms scope. Mount it. Forget about it.
Subpar and too high for me
by Brian
I really like Primary Arms scopes, but this mount is subpar. This mount can loosen up on you and scratch your scope tube. I recommend using loctite on all the screws with this mount. Also, I found the 1.5" height to center line of the scope was too high for me on an AR. Around 1.4" is where I like it. Figure out your preferred height before you buy. If you are going to spend several hundred dollars on a scope, you may as well spend ~$100 on a better scope mount.
Expect less and you won’t be disappointed

Threads are questionable but functional. Screws bent but functional. Disappointed with quality. First time I’ve tried a “budget” mount. Won’t happen twice, you get what you pay for.
