To make sure that the mount nut is fully tightened, turn the nut clockwise until resistance is encountered. After that, turn another 1/2 turn. If a torque wrench is being used, they recommend no more than 35-40 in-lbs.

This product deserves 1 star. But since Primary Arms has great customer service I will give them 2. Brand new mount. Stripped the aluminum cross bolts on the mount with incredible ease. Steel nut+aluminum bolt = bad news. Plenty other people are having the same problem 👎🏻

Mount is heavy duty. To that end unfortunately it is very heavy. If your building light-weight look elsewhere.

I got this to mate with a 1-8x PA Scope... couldn't be happier it fits great looks great and puts the scope just high enough to run my backups on there too!

The mount locks up tight to the rail. The machining is very uneven, and left me with a crooked mount.

Perfect mount, but after following the included directions and using a FAT wrench, both cross bolt screws stripped at 30 inch pounds. I found adequate cross bolts at a local Fastenal store that worked.
ALUMINUM Cross-bolts

I like everything about the mount EXCEPT the cross-bolts. Following the directions that come with it, using a fat wrench, I attempted to torque the cross-bolts to 40 inch pounds, and both of them stripped. Worthless aluminum cross-bolts, until they offer steel cross-bolts I will NOT buy another of these mounts. Not being able to trust the fasteners on these mounts leaves zero confidence in shooting a high power rifle match with it. 2-3 stars at the most.

used this, mounting a full size Tactical 3-9 x 40, to aDpms lr-308. It allowed for excellent eye relief, and withstood the recoil of the .308 Winchester. Got it home from the range, and it was still rock solid.
