The Primary Arms Gen III 3X Compact Prism Scope with the improved ACSS-5.56-CQB-M2 reticle is the lightweight, do-everything scope you've been looking for. The low 3X magnification and bright illuminated reticle allow for fast, both-eyes-open shooting at close range, while the ACSS CQB reticle allows for easy hits on targets out to an impressive 600 yards. The Gen III scope has been equipped with the next generation ruggedized mounts to provide flexible mounting options with incredible clamping power.

Features:
  • New Ruggedized Mount provides exceptional clamping power
  • Includes AR-height riser
  • ACSS 5.56 CQB-M2 chevron reticle has BDC and ranging out to 600 yards with 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, 5.45x39mm, and .308 Winchester
  • Fully illuminated reticle is visible even in bright daylight
  • Removable M1913 picatinny top rail for accessories or piggy-backed red dot sights
  • Generous 10.3mm exit pupil allows for a bright and forgiving eye box
  • 31.5ft field of view at 100 yards provides easier tracking of mobile targets
  • 2.7" - 3.0" of eye relief
  • 1/4 MOA turret clicks are tactile and audible for easy zeroing
  • Tough prism scope is waterproof, fog resistant, and shockproof
  • Durable hardcoat anodized black finish
  • Compatible with standard carry handle mounts
  • Protected by a lifetime warranty

The heart of the tough Gen III 3X Prism Scope is the improved ACSS 5.56 CQB-M2 reticle that combines ranging, wind leads, moving target leads, and ballistic drop compensation out to 600 yards. The outer horseshoe of the glass etched reticle is used for close quarters engagement, simply place the generous semi-circle on the target and run with it! Each side of the horseshoe also has the integrated ranging system. Place the bottom of the target on the bottom rung and range up. If you know your targets are roughly 18 inches wide, they can be ranged on the side Auto Range system, or directly on the BDC hold overs! Two dots on either side of the precision chevron offer a moving target lead moving with an average speed of 8.6 MPH. Each step of the BDC system includes a 5 MPH wind hold, drastically improving first hit probability at any range. As an added bonus, the glass etched reticle does not require batteries or illumination, but 11 brightness settings (including daylight bright) allow for fast acquisition in close quarters, or enhanced visibility in fading light, powered by a common CR2032 battery!

The SLx 3X Gen III has even greater strength and flexibility than ever before with the next generation ruggedized mounting system. We’ve upgraded everything about the mount from materials and finish to the design to create a mount that will not just clamp securely to your rail, but stand up the rigors of real-world use. Integrated recoil lugs help lock your mount in place against the heaviest recoil while large diameter crossbolts give you significantly improved clamping power and will hold up to significant torque. The included riser is the perfect height for AR-15s and AR-10s, but can be easily removed for carry handle or AK use as well.

My Third GEn III Prism Scope w/ ACSS Reticle

by -

This may be my favorite optic ever. This is my third purchase of this optic from Primary Arms. The other two are on a 7.62x39 AR Pistol and a 300 Blk AR Pistol. This one went on my 10.5” Palmetto State Armory .556/223 AR Pistol and it a perfect match. Fast acquisition of targets, clear glass, perfect magnification from 0 to 100 yard off hand. You can reach out further, but a good rest will be needed like any optic. The bullet drop indicators are right on if you are doing your job. This is a great varmint optic especially if you have to take a shot on a moving target. The optic is a no brainer for the money.

Very nice

The only thing I didn’t like was the made in China sticker on it

Primary arms Gen III Prism scope

Tried out scope on 450 Bushmaster . I think the Gen III is a solid scope, however recticle seems way to busy and difficult to make fast follow up shots. If you are shooting 50 yards or less it may be fine, but for longer ranges , be warned. The lighted recticle is only useful at 7 or less . It gets way to bright above the 7 setting and washes out the chevron.

Awesome Product

Like the headline says: seriously awesome performance value for money, great build quality, durable, focus ring, etc. 10/10

Good product and great customer service.

Sight is very crisp and clear, which for someone with astigmatism like me is great. Didn't really have to make any adjustments out of the box when sighting it in.

I had placed the order and didn't noticed the promotional code banner, so I emailed customer service asking if it would be applied even though I had already ordered. They told me they couldn't do that, but they refunded me the difference anyway. Great customer service.

Poor mans Acog but better...

Howdy, what can’t you say about ACSS reticle, one of the best if not the best you can get... Now that is out of the way you can’t go wrong with the Slx 3x prism especially if you have eye probs. Parallax is the key and the Acog doesn’t have that(for us old guys)anyway... This thing is a tank and worth every penny. I have 2, my first was the 300BLK and I just got another in 5.56 for my current build.
I have suggestions and did the research for you but if you want a quick disconnect mount I suggest American Defence AD-B3-HD-TL mount(put it on both of mine). This mount is for the Acog but works with this Slx scope. It comes with a riser(I suggest using)and you will have to purchase screws from McMaster-Carr part #90357A011. The screws that comes with the scope are to short with the riser. You only need 2 but I always buy a extra. Lastly I suggest the anti-reflection device for the 3x prism and a butler creek(10&11)on the ocular lens...
Now your good to go, enjoy...

Second PA optic I have purchased...very pleased.

Great scope

Great scope and reticle. Hit tight groups at 50/100 yards. About 1”/1.5” MOA

It works for my Crummy Eyes too!

Build quality is top-notch! Comes with accessories to remove the riser and rail that are attached to the scope. Most importantly, it comes with a Torx style key that can act as a screwdriver to make attachment a breeze.

Scope clarity is fantastic for the price! It fits my standards, that's for certain. The reticle is clear even with the illumination off. 3x is a good middle ground between none at all and too much. It's a compromise that allows for precise work at any range you can see a target unaided.

I have pretty serious astigmatism, so the higher illumination settings don't work well for me. There's a little bit of bleed through on the settings 8 and up, but most likely that may be due to my eyes being rather trash. My preferred brightness setting is 4. Lit, but not too bright.
An excellent choice.
