The heart of the tough Gen III 3X Prism Scope is the improved ACSS 5.56 CQB-M2 reticle that combines ranging, wind leads, moving target leads, and ballistic drop compensation out to 600 yards. The outer horseshoe of the glass etched reticle is used for close quarters engagement, simply place the generous semi-circle on the target and run with it! Each side of the horseshoe also has the integrated ranging system. Place the bottom of the target on the bottom rung and range up. If you know your targets are roughly 18 inches wide, they can be ranged on the side Auto Range system, or directly on the BDC hold overs! Two dots on either side of the precision chevron offer a moving target lead moving with an average speed of 8.6 MPH. Each step of the BDC system includes a 5 MPH wind hold, drastically improving first hit probability at any range. As an added bonus, the glass etched reticle does not require batteries or illumination, but 11 brightness settings (including daylight bright) allow for fast acquisition in close quarters, or enhanced visibility in fading light, powered by a common CR2032 battery!

The SLx 3X Gen III has even greater strength and flexibility than ever before with the next generation ruggedized mounting system. We’ve upgraded everything about the mount from materials and finish to the design to create a mount that will not just clamp securely to your rail, but stand up the rigors of real-world use. Integrated recoil lugs help lock your mount in place against the heaviest recoil while large diameter crossbolts give you significantly improved clamping power and will hold up to significant torque. The included riser is the perfect height for AR-15s and AR-10s, but can be easily removed for carry handle or AK use as well.

Good Scope

by -

Mounted on a 12.5" bbl, so the BDC holds are off more than a little bit at range, 300-600m. No fault of the scope though. Just use some hold over...or 16"+ bbl for better BDC matching. Clear glass, solid feel, forgiving eye box, easy to acquire reticle for closer in targets. BDC is a little small, but that is the nature of 3x. I probably wont use the pict rail on top, but I like that it's there. Might be time to get the 5x AURORA or maybe the 3x Micro.. next.

Very Nice Optic for Price

Better than expected. Great glass, awesome stadia, and lifetime warranty? What's not to like!

Sight picture way too small, I basically have to jame my eye into the optical lense to see properly.

This scope is good for what it does I just wish there was a disclaimer or an indication on how tiny the sight picture actually is compared to a standard ACOG or RCO. It's solid and accurate but uncomfortable to use, I think I might just use this as a spare optic in case I forget my Trijcon at home.

Excellent Qaulity

by

This optic has excellent clarity, is free of chromatic aberration and has a very flat field. The optical coatings appear to be uniform and free of defects. The diopter has a large adjustment range and should suffice for any variance in vision. The reticle is sharply defined and clearly readable. The illumination settings are sufficient for any lighting condition. Physical construction is solid and appears to be very rugged.

Great buy

Quality optic for my Henry x boy. Great price with all the things I wanted. Magnification, picatinny for back up red dot.

If you're looking at getting one, just do it

by -

I'm a fairly inexperienced shooter and I got one of these to slap on my AR for a run and gun my friend convinced me to join. I only had two practice sessions before the event to sight it in, and the range maxxed out at 200 yards so the practice was only so-so.

At the event, I was able to hit all targets in my time limit, including the two at 500 yards. If you know how to use the reticle, you'll hit your targets. It's awesome.

Chefs kiss

I’ve run this scope on my GPR for the last 5 years and it is a trooper! It has not lost zero when bumped, dropped or banged. The eye relief is better than other name brand prisms and the field of view is awesome. The only thing I have changed is a QD mount (fits acog footprint 🙌 ).My only complaint is that the battery for the illumination runs out fast and there is no auto off or shake awake.
I even purchased a 3x mini prism to replace the old one, it has a smaller FOV and the eye box feels more restrictive.

If you are looking for a good generalist magnified optic, just pull the trigger on the SLX. It will pay dividends in utility and fun.

Slx 3 prism

1 year, 1k+ rounds

I wanted to get 1 optic to be able to do everything. I am not disappointed. 3x is low enough that with just a bit of practice I can run 25 yard target transition drills with ease. I've rang 8" steel at 300. It rides in my truck, goes hunting, hiking, and has held 0. Excellent glass, durable, lightweight, and great price point- I don't know what else you could want.

The reticle: this is the only thing about this optic that I have heard people crap on. Either they haven't used it or they are so distractible that they probably shouldn't be handling a firearm. I love the reticle. Tons of handy information that is laid in a way so it disappears as soon as you target focus.

In short I could not picture a better optic for me and the rifle I wanted to build.

11 out of 10 strongly recommend.

Could have bought an acog

by

Having purchased red dots, lpvo's, holographics, and irons, I had almost given up my search for something to better accomdate my declining eyesight.
If I had the chance to do it over again, i would have just bought a prism.....could have saved me alot of cash in the long run.
I may have to sell some of my first attempts to finance my newfound prism addiction. Thanks PA, love the reticle.
