The Primary Arms SLx MD-25 Gen 2 Microdot now comes with AutoLive, improving the functionality of an already amazing red dot sight. Stretch that already insanely long battery life even further and remove that fear of picking up your rifle and the dot not being there. With this red dot sight, the moment you pick up your rifle, the dot will turn on and be ready precisely when you need it. After sitting motionless for a brief period of time, the red dot will shut off and conserve battery. Still featuring the same lightweight and durable design with a field of view that rivals larger 30mm red dots, the MD-25 Gen 2 is a no-brainer upgrade to add to your collection.

The Gen 2 SLx 25mm Red Dot been equipped with the next generation ruggedized mounting system. Everything about these mounts has been upgraded from materials and finish to the design in order to create a mount that will not just clamp securely to your rail, but stand up the rigors of real-world use. Integrated recoil lugs help lock your mount in place against the heaviest recoil while large diameter crossbolts give you significantly improved clamping power and will hold up to significant torque. The included riser is the perfect height for AR-15s and AR-10s, but can be easily removed to for installation on AKs, shotguns, and more.
The SLx 25mm Gen 2 red dot includes the low base, a standard riser, and two different height spacers, as well as appropriate mounting hardware. With just the low base, a central height of 0.96” can be achieved. Add the standard riser for 1.41”. With the riser and thin spacer, your central height will be 1.54”. Using the thick spacer will place the optic at 1.64” height. With these options you can easily configure your optic to perfectly match your firearm and shooting style.

Good for price I suppose

Decent budget red dot, one thing I can say I like is the inclusiveness of all the different types of mounting options. The other likeliness being the actual glass size, larger than some competitors. Biggest complaint for me is the knob sizes and the pretty noticeable “blue” hew tint to the glass.

This is by far my favorite red dot by Primary Arms. Love the sturdy mount. Mounted this on my RPK zeroed in less than 5 minutes. I should also say this is my 4th SLX MD-25 but this is My first Gen 2. Highly recommend This red dot!
Just get it!!!

Have this paired with a the PA 6x magnifier. The RDS was easy to zero. The dot is nice and small making it easy to put it dead over the center. Once it was zeroed I flipped the 6x to the side and went with just the RDS. Kept the rounds within 2 inches of dead zero. Amazing RDS for the price.
I dropped it as soon as I got it, zeroed great.

Very light. Very Ridgid. I dropped it while painting it, took me two days to see that I bent the front on the optic hood. Took it out today after borsighting it , had it zeroed in 12 shots. I have many primary arms optics but this is my first reviewed one, Impressed with the build quality. Primary arms is my go to for anything forearms related. Thank y'all for making great optics at an outstanding price

Duty ready

Ironically I recommended this optic to two of my fellow officers before I bought one myself. I was already setup with an LPVO on my patrol rifle and Aimpoints on others. These guys needed a budget priced duty ready optic. They’ve had theirs for about 18 months with no issues. I’ve been very impressed. Having owned a T1 and T2 I admittedly looked down my nose at the MD25. But in reality this optic is on par with optics 3, 4, and 5 times the price. The packaging, extra parts, and instructions alone are fantastic. I decided to ditch my LPVO in the interest of weight and mobility as a K9 handler and go back to a red dot. I didn’t hesitate to get this. It zeroed quickly and easily and is now left at the 8 setting in my patrol car. Why spend $600 when you can get everything you need for much less? Thanks Primary Arms!

This optic is everything I was looking for. The dot is bright, the glass is crystal clear, and most importantly, it holds zero. It gives me consistent hits on steel out to 400 yards on my AK 74. All without breaking the bank. Thank you Primary Arms!!
