This Primary Arms red dot sight is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics built their reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.

The humble microdot is a hard-to-beat package when you want speed without adding a lot of weight to your firearm. The venerable 30mm red dot is a great option for shooters who prefer to have speed AND a wide field of view through their optic. The SLx MD-25 is here to offer the perfect balance between the two with a compact design that weighs barely 2 ounces more than a standard microdot, yet offers the same field of view as a 30mm red dot! Add in super bright, daytime illumination, an up to 50,000-hour battery life, and the next generation ruggedized micro mount and you'll see how we're pushing the envelope for fast, lightweight optics!

Features:

  • Wide field of view
  • Compact, lightweight, and durable

  • Fog resistant

The SLx 25mm Red Dot been equipped with the next generation ruggedized mounting system. We’ve upgraded everything about the mount from materials and finish to the design to create a mount that will not just clamp securely to your rail, but stand up the rigors of real-world use. Integrated recoil lugs help lock your mount in place against the heaviest recoil while large diameter crossbolts give you significantly improved clamping power and will hold up to significant torque. The included riser is the perfect height for AR-15s and AR-10s, but can be easily removed to for installation on AKs, shotguns, and more.

The SLx 25mm red dot includes the low base, a standard riser, and two different height spacers, as well as appropriate mounting hardware. With just the low base, a central height of 0.96” can be achieved. Add the standard riser for 1.41”. With the riser and thin spacer, your central height will be 1.54”. Using the thick spacer will place the optic at 1.64” height. With these options you can easily configure your optic to perfectly match your firearm and shooting style.

Noice.

Just got mine in the mail today and installed on a PWS MK111 Mod 2 SBR. Right out of the box I was impressed with build quality, feels solid. Optic comes with multiple bases/risers to let you achieve co-witness preferences. Dot is crisp and bright. Primary Arms included a t-handle torx wrench instead of a flimsy angled wrench so you can really get some purchase when tightening the mount down. Will take it out soon to shoot after my scalarworks peak iron sights come in. Shipping was fast as always, Primary Arms simply can't be beat.

Packed with features and excellent flexibility out of the box!

The larger objective does help the constricted feeling you generally get when looking through a micro dot. With two eyes open, the larger dial and knobs disappear. The whole sight feels extremely high quality and I think the mount is a huge improvement over the typical cheap feeling mount found on cheaper micro dots. The fact that it includes a low mount and high mount with multiple spacers makes this sight capable of multiple setups out of the box.

While there are no "off" points in between settings, the battery life makes this a "set it and forget it" for a long time, making it unnecessary to turn it off. The brightness dial is stiff, keeping it from accidentally turning (an issue I had on my old aimpoint PRO) when stored in a case / bag. But you can still easily adjust it. The adjustments when sighting in are very tactile with clear and pronounced "clicks".

Primary Arms really delivered with this sight and it's a steal at this price point.

Micro Plus RDS

by

The quality and build of the optic is definitely better than the majority of the budget red dots on the market today. The knob for intensity is comparable to my T2 and there are distinct slots. The wind age and elevation adjustments have a positive click and are protected with an o-ring. The unit have an Aimpoint Micro footprint in a nice touch and the included mount appears/feels much more stout than other mounting solutions. The field of view is great and I was initially worried about the large knob on the slide but it disappears with a two-eyes open approach. Also before people start complaining the front lens is canted heavily like on my T2 and that helps reflect the red led back to the shooter without the use of a heavy tint to compensate. Time will tell on how durable it is and the battery life but overall it’s great I would recommend it.

PERFECT balance between micro and full size

by

Great sight. Comparing side by side with a micro (20mm) and a full size (30mm), this really feels like you're getting the larger field of view with the smaller size and weight, exactly what I was hoping for. I put it on an ADM quick detach mount (CASV height, as advised by Primary Arms for absolute cowitness, which confirmed it does). Impressively clear glass. Going to replace my other micro with one of these as well, just hope they come out with a FDE version too!

Very nice but no lens covers?

by

This is a quality red dot sight for a reasonable price. The two (2) mounting bases are very high quality and, a nice upgrade from PA's earlier offerings. The sight has good brightness for daytime use and I love the positive rotary control knob. Mine did not come with any lens covers. That was the only reason to not give five (5) stars.

Equal to Trijicon MRO for a fraction of the cost..

Honest review... True 5 STAR product. Wide field of view. Held Zero after 500 rounds. Compared to Sig Romeo 5 and Trijicon MRO. Much better than Romeo 5 and equal to Trijicon MRO. For the money. This is the best option..

Home run

As someone who has used primary arms optics as my go to sights I am once again impressed. I wanted a larger window, great reliability and long battery life. This one hits all the marks. The mount seems heavy duty and gives you multiple options.

New Favorite Red Dot!

by

My new favorite budget optic!
I own more than half a dozen Different manufactures red dot scope‘s and this red dot compares very well with both mid range and high end red dot optics that I currently own.
Do not hesitate to order one of these red dots for either your blaster A.R. 15 or your home Defence gun.
You will not be disappointed.
The optics are clear and bright and the scope has a solid quality feel to it.
The only bad thing I can say about the scope is that I didn’t order more than one.
It looks like primary arms has another winner on its hands.

Great RDS with a few drawbacks. Recommended for use with night vision.

by -

The FOV on this sight is excellent, and where it really shines is as a budget option for night vision use. A big plus is that I haven't experienced shading when looking through photonic barriers under nods, which is something that does happen with other budget optics.

The mounting system seems stout enough to handle abuse. The extra options for height are appreciated.

The issues I have with this sight are pretty minor, there's the infamous blue hue that has been an issue on more budget options for years, though less prevalent these days. On this sight it isn't super strong, but it is noticeable.

My only other small complaint is the huge adjustment knob being on the left side. This introduces some more clutter into the shooter's view. Not a huge issue when shooting both eyes open, but I would rather have it on the right side.

Great red dot.

Great red dot. I really enjoy the wider field of view and the mount is awesome. I'll definitely be getting another one for my other AR.
