The Primary Arms 1-6x24 second focal plane scope (Gen III) features the exclusive, patented Advanced Combined Sighting System reticle. Bullet drop compensation, wind holds, moving target leads and range estimation are seamlessly integrated into an easy to use, instinctive sighting system that is very fast from 0-300 yards and very accurate from 300-800 yards. The second focal plane design keeps the reticle the same size at all magnifications for quick acquisition at low power and advanced reticle functionality at 6x maximum power. This Scope is protected by the Primary Arms Lifetime Warranty. If a defect due to materials or workmanship, or even normal wear and tear, has caused your product to malfunction, Primary Arms will either repair or replace your product.

The flagship Gen II 1-6x24 is a tough act to follow, so Primary Arms worked hard to make incremental but real improvements. The Gen III is 18mm shorter (10.04in long), weighs 1.88 ounces less (16.9 oz. total), and has an additional 10 MOA of internal adjustment compared to the older model. The ACSS® reticle has also been improved, now featuring a chevron center aiming point rather than a dot.
Partial red reticle illumination is provided by a single (included) CR2032 battery, and a spare battery is included inside the windage turret cap. A total of 11 settings take the reticle all the way up to daylight bright. All lenses are fully multicoated for maximum light transmission and the 6063 aluminum body is Type II hard anodized in matte black.

Buy this scope

Fantastic scope. Have only put 300 rounds through my AR with it mounted but so far it's perfect. Farthest distance I had a chance to shoot was 300 yards give or take a few. The auto ranging was easy to use and had no problem hitting 12" steel. 1x magnification is not quite 1x, just a little more but still had no problem shooting fast at close range. It is maybe a little more than 90% as fast within 20 yards as my Primary arms micro dot and about equal out to 50 yards, but beyond that having the ability to turn the magnification up makes is significantly faster to acquire targets at range. Only change i made was adding a breakaway nylon coaster (throw lever) which makes changing magnification much faster. Absolutely no regrets, buy this scope.
Can't beat a ACSS Reticle Scope
by John -
I ordered this scope after watching a number of videos and reading good reviews for this scope. When I got it and opened the packaged and looked though the scope I had my doubts,I said to myself how in the heck am going see that little bitty reticle did I just make a mistake buying this.I wear glasses and getting long in the tooth, getting a little harder for me to see.But after reading how to set it up Wham it was pretty dang clear,I could see just fine,I took it to the range and had my MOA groupings close by 1/2 to 3/4 inches from 2 inches out to 100 yards using Federal XM193 5.56 55 Gr. ammo out of my Colt LE6920 1-7 twist. This scope to me is a blessing, especially where I hunt here in SE Texas Brush Thickets.I'm really glad I got me one.
As good as if not better than scopes twice its price

Great scope , very clr glass and reticle , i was really suprised with the amount of eye relief the scope allows. Ive only used around 500 rounds with it so far it seems very well built and the acss reticle works great. The american def mount is very nice , well built and very easy to install.
Great optic

First scope received was defective out of the box, may have been bad handling by shipping company, ACSS reticle was low and to the left and would not adjust enough. Called tech support and discussed the issue with Keith, after talking and determining that something was off in the scope, was issued an RMA and returned scope and received replacement in less then a week. Installed replacement scope and did a basic boresight by looking thru barrel and scope. Took to the range and within 6 shots had it sighted in and shooting inch groups at 100 yds. So far an excellent product for the money and as usual outstanding customer support from PA.
Question
by Josh
Since this is a second focal plane scope, at what magnification is the reticle the most precise? At full magnification?
Pretty awesome for the $$$
by ChipK
Been running this scope for a while now and there’s no doubt it’s pretty awesome for the $$$. I figured out, for me, that the eye relief you set it up with is huge, as it’s more generous IMO than advertised... meaning it’s far more forgiving if you’re further off/back of it than too close. I’ve found you get much more of a true 1x at 1x if you find the sweet spot (and where 6x still isn’t too finicky), which was a couple piccatiny notches forward of where I initially mounted it.
Really my only complaint is that I wish only the chevron, or horseshoe and chevron, were illuminated... because the whole “christmas tree” being lit IMO can be a distraction...
Best AR-15 optic in its price range
by Raymond -
Got to try this scope out at the range on a brand new build yesterday. I zeroed the rifle in at 100 yards. (16" barrel, with 1:7 twist, using 62gr ammo) I am very impressed, especially considering the price . I truly believe this is one of the best values out there for AR-15 optics. I know there are better, more expensive options, but for the money, this scope beats all the other optics I have tried at the same price range. I highly recommend this scope and will definitely be buying more very soon! I'm also very happy with Primary Arms. I also purchased a completed upper from them on an earlier order. This scope and the upper were both shipped quickly and extremely well packed. They also responded to an email of mine in a very timely manner. They have definitely earned my business and trust.
Amazing Scope!
by Jason
I decided to go with this scope after countless hours of research, and having great past experiences with Primary Arms. Their customer service and fast shipping has earned my business. The scope is of very high quality and the reticle is absolutely amazing. I mounted it on an American Defense Scout and couldn't be happier with this product. It was between this and the Vortex Strike Eagle. The ACSS reticle was far more appealing to me, and having the confidence of Primary Arms lifetime warranty helped make my decision very easy. My friends have decided to purchase this scope as well after seeing it in person. You will not regret buying this product. Thank you Primary Arms!
Best scope for the $$$

EXTREMELY IMPRESSED!!!
by S/W M and P sport 2
EXTREMELY IMPRESSED!!! I was hitting 10inch plates at 300 all the way to 600 yards from a 16inch 1/9 twist smith and wesson using 55g american eagle XM193 basic ammo !!! The hold overs are really on point ! When I got to 600 yards I just had to hold over about 3inched above target using the 600 yard hold over to hit center . Very happy with my purchase!
