The Primary Arms 3-18x50mm first focal plane illuminated rifle scope punches far outside of its weight class. At 3x magnification, fast snap shots at close range are a breeze with the daylight bright illuminated reticle, but the scope easily allows shooters to reach the 1,000 yard line when cranked up to the full 18x available at the top end. To make the best of the reticle at every magnification, it has been etched into the first focal plane. This allows it to be 'true' at every magnification, allowing the ranging, hold overs, and wind holds to be used as long as you can see them.

The 3-18x50mm is equipped with the ACSS HUD DMR 308 reticle, the most advanced moving target reticle in the world. Capable of guiding the shooter to first shot hits on moving targets out to a never before seen 600 yards, HUD DMR even accounts for three different target speeds. You can't hit any target if you don't know how far out they are, so HUD DMR takes the guess work out of range estimation. The integrated ranging system quickly and accurately provides target ranging, wind holds, and bullet drop compensation out to a full 1,000 yards. Tuned for common .308 Winchester loads, this reticle can be used with some .223 Remington loadings as well.
The 3-18x50mm scope body is our most advanced to date, offering new innovative features, as well as old favorites. A removable and replaceable fin on the power ring allows for rapid adjustment of the magnification range just like a magnification lever, with placement of the fin entirely at the discretion of the operator. The improved turrets have tactile and audible 0.1 MIL click adjustments, as well as offering easy reset once you've zero'ed your rifle, and secure locking to prevent accidental knob turning. The illumination turret offers six settings with an 'OFF' setting between each for fast switching to your preferred setting. A smooth parallax adjustment and fast focus eye piece work together to provide a perfectly crisp image of the target and reticle.

Amazing Optic!!!

This is absolutely the best optic for the money in its category. The ACSS reticle, in my opinion, is the best reticle out there.... Dimitri is a wizard! You won’t find quality, clarity and this level of performance on any other optic at this price point and with a lifetime warranty. Thanks again Dimitri for answering all my questions.
Very Good (for the price), But Not Great...

My first comment would be: This isn't close to being a Platinum...
(I have 2 to compare it to.)
My optic is a bit foggy at 18...
My turrets are a bit mushy...
(I don't plan on using turrets with this setup so who cares?)
But, the reticle is OUTSTANDING!
I put this on a RAR .308 that's in a Magpul Hunter American stock... Pulled out some 175g GMM clones... Felt comfortable with my Zero after 4 shots... Took it to 500...ding...took it to 600...ding...took it to 800...ding...took it to 1000...ding...
BTW, you have to dial down to 14-15 to see the reticle at 1000.
Looking forward to playing the Unknown Distance Game with this setup.
Also looking forward to putting one of the 6.5 reticle versions on my AR...
Way too much fun!
Scope is good but can only compare to lower priced options.

Scope is a decent upgrade over the 4 - 14x scope line, which is also a great scope for the price. I dont personally dial the turrets so cant speak for the tracking but it zeroed just fine and has held perfectly. Only have cheaper scopes to compare to such as the PA 4-14x and the Athlon Argos.

I use this to hunt and it works fantastical! I love I can adjust shots in a stand without messing with turrets and the fact they lock makes me not worry about zero loss.

3 to 18 is a beautiful power rangers and by 50 allows full day time use... I have 5 PA scopes...1-4...2 4x14(both recticles)...1-6 and 3-18...Covers all but Precesion Shooting...and they now offer this...next will be 6-30x56... I have NF 15-55x53 for long range Precesion...DOUG

The HUD DMR reticle and this scope make a sweet package. Once you take the time to dial in your load to match the reticle, it’s amazing how fast you can transition between targets at different distances.
3-18x50 ACSS 308 it's a keeper

I have the 3-18x-50 acss mounted on a S&W M&P 10 308. The subtensions
on the reticle are now different ranges BUT it is dead on! I only use
the reticle not dialing. I consistently make first or second round hits from
100 to 800 yards! This is the scope I have been looking for and it dose not
disappoint. And to top it off Primary Arms customer service is the BEST bar none!
