The whole manufacturing process of these barrels have been patented by Proof Research. By combing Proof's unique manufacturing process with their advanced technology they have managed to produce rifle barrels that are durable, lightweight, heat resistance and over provide superior performance.

The aerospace-grade carbon fiber used has a specific strength up to 30 times greater than the strength of stainless steel and a specific stiffness up to 7 times greater than steel. This carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel is up to 64% lighter than traditional steel barrels of similar contour.

The high strength carbon fiber, that the barrels are wrapped in, is filled with a proprietary matrix resin making them extremely durable. The helical wrapping pattern allows the carbon fiber to efficiently dissipate heat emanating from the barrel rather than insulating it. This means that the barrels will stay cooler and last longer.
