Details

The Vortex Viper PST Gen II line delivers an unfair advantage to shooters who aim to keep the upper hand in every situation, from close quarters to long-range shots. The illumination dial is cleanly integrated into the side focus adjustment knob for easy access and streamlined performance. The glass-etched reticle offers shooters highly functional, intuitive, and detailed hold points, yet remains uncluttered for optimal viewing and features 10 intensity levels with off positions between each setting.

Vortex’s extra-low dispersion (XD) glass increases resolution and color fidelity, while their proprietary coatings increase light transmission and includes multiple anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces. The result is crisp, sharp images for an unparalleled view downrange.

Inside this first focal plane offering you will find Vortex’s hash-marked EBR-2C reticle, using MOA based subtension lines and floating wind hold dots for ranging, holdover, and windage corrections.

Good scope

by -

I'm a little torn on how to rate this scope. In most ways, it's a LOT of scope for the money. However, it's pretty heavy and on my scope eat least, the eye focus adjustment (the little ring by your eye) is super tight and hard to adjust. The glass is pretty clear (I'm comparing to an Valdada IOR and also a first gen PST), but the reticle is so thin that it washes out with my not-so-great eyes on some target colors. I think I would buy it again, but there certainly are other options if you're willing to spend a few hundred more. I like Vortex as a company, though, so overall I'm happy with my purchase.
