I bought to build my own AR. PSA lower 3lb trigger, nickle boron bolt carrier. 55grain match grade 223 rem. Ammo at 100yrs 1/4" groups in shooting vise. Absolutely more accurate then my 2k AR 15

Great upper at a better price
by Ira Tabankin -
Fit and finish was perfect, I cleaned the barrel, oiled it put in a BCG and charging handle I had and placed it on my lower. I installed a light, BUIS and a variable 1-6 sight. Initial five founds of 55g FMJ were within 1” at 25 yards.

the product came quickly and was in excellent condition. It worked great with the build I was making.
Highly impressed!

I purchased this upper receiver assembly. Finish is flawless, I added a bolt, charging handle and a Vortex 1-6 scope and off to the range. I did a rough zero to get me on paper then wanted to see what the upper was capable of grouping. I fired 10 shots, adjusting the scope to get a 100 yd zero. First 2 shots adjusted for wind, shot #3 adjusted for elevation. The next 7 shots went into a .429" group. Three more groups under .5". Thank you for the upper, I couldn't ask for more.
great barrel

I put the barrel on my AR and it works great the customer service from primary arms is excellent.
Cheap for a reason
by Mike -
Muzzle device practically welded on, would be cheaper to get a different barrel than to get it removed. Where the gas block was drilled there was a bunch of metal hanging in the barrel and the answer from radical was to just fire a few rounds down the barrel. To remove the muzzle device they told me to buy a piece of equipment at least the cost of the upper. It will be fine for the very cheap purpose I have for it but you do get what you pay for and they don’t care that the QC is terrible
Bought two of the Radical Firearms Barreled AR-15 Upper 16" .223 Wylde Mid-Lengths
by Mike
The two RF15 16" uppers I got were excellent and ran well with their mid length gas system. I think an H2 buffer would smooth out cycling further. I disassembled the upper to check for proper assembly, alignment, and torque. All was as it should be and they would have run straight out of the box.
PS: I also purchased two of the 18" Radical Firearms Barreled AR-15 Uppers .223 Wylde with Rifle-Length gas systems. These had undersized gas ports and the upper was poorly assembled. Misalignment of everything and loosely torqued. Required barrel gas ports to be drilled to .110" to properly cycle.

As described, after reading the other reviews I decided to go for it, not at all disappointed. The front of the barrel is marked .223 wylde 1/8 on the top see just under the feont of the hand guard. Not much else but it works and is accurate! 200 bucks what are you waiting for?
Radical Firearms upper
by Tyler -
I've shot about 300 rounds out of this upper on a 17 design lower and a 1-6 lpvo. Gun has averaged about 2.5 MOA from a bench rest with 55 grain pmc xtac, it could definitely tighten up with some heavier match ammo and a true shooting vice. Not a single malfunction out of the first 300 rounds, it has run like a top. It has a very heavy barrel profile and a mid length gas system which help reduce the recoil of the weapon. Definitely worth the money especially if you grab it during a sale. Would recommend.
