This Radical Firearms 5.56 AR-15 Barreled Upper Receiver features a new M-LOK handguard with an ultra slim profile reducing weight and improving ergonomics. This free float handguard features M-LOK slots along the full length of the rail at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock position with two slots at the 45 degree positions. The 16" barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO features a mid-length gas system, 1:7 twist rate, and an A2 style flash hider. Great Value for a 16Inch Upper. I found the handguard to have very sharp edges at every cut out and the overall finish feels rough and not smooth.

I got this when it was on sale for $199.99, mainly out of curiosity. I'm impressed with it. A2 Flash hider has the closed bottom like military issue to combat muzzle rise and kicking up dust when firing prone. Handguard is 15" Aluminum, no branding besides the "M" M-Lok logo, but seems high quality. Upper receiver has ejection port cover (very tight, needs breaking in), case deflector, and forward assist. Completed this budget receiver group with Precision Defense BCG and Anderson Manufacturing 6061 Aluminum Charging Handle (both available here at Primary Arms).

Pretty good

I purchased this for $199. Picked up a Brownells M16 BCG, and a Strike industries charging handle. The BCG would seat all the way. Acted like it was catching the gas tube. So I switched my BCG from my Daniel Defense MK18, worked fine then. Shot pretty well. Functioned perfectly. Overall I’m quite happy with it. It looks to be well made.

Under gassed

I don’t know if maybe it’s just mine, but it severely under gassed. Swap buffer spring and buffer to lightest I could find, just have the issue. About to buy an adjustable gas block and hope that fixes it. Other than that issue, it’s fine.
