Not pretty, but functions great
by Barney -
Break received with light surface rust in several places. Functionally this is great, visually it is flawed. Break also has a few scratches/tooling marks.
It works

This works effectively at reducing recoil, not sure about muzzle rise. No problems with fit or finish. You will feel the warm blast coming back at your face every shot, which I don't get with other brakes. I have one on 3 of my rifles and one SBR. This brake is so effective at stopping recoil it creates a forward impulse in my SBR that is just enough to make the charging handle unlatch, due to the inertia of a heavier "tactical" CH latch. Never happened with a standard A2 hider, and a heavier CH latch spring fixed it, but I thought it was interesting. I'm probably gonna switch back to an A2 on the SBR just because it does throw so much blast directly backwards instead of to the sides like most brakes.
Awesome Brake

Zero recoil on my 16 RF 5.56 upper. this thing is awesome. Puts the brakes on all recoil!!!!!
Decent brake, horrible crush washer
by Austin -
The brake is good and manages to reduce felt recoil quite well. Mine was pretty free of imperfections but if you're trying to build a gucci gun I'd still say to steer clear of this brake. The big problem with this isn't the brake itself, but the crush washer itself. You might as well buy some crush washers, because the one that comes with this is horrible. The one I received was more of a normal washer with how flat it was. Impossible to get it in time. Would've been better not to include on at all and just tell people to buy their own.
This things works and it works well
by NAM
This thing simply works very well. I have it on my 16 inch 300 blackout with carbine gas system. I shoot exclusively S&B 147gr ammo. The felt recoil is comparable or less than my AR-15 with 16 inch barrel and carbine gas system with A2 flash hider shooting heavy 77gr ammo.
Having said that, my 300 blk with this muzzle brake has slightly more felt recoil than 20 inch AR-15 with A2 flash hider shooting heavy 77gr ammo. But 20 inch barrel with rifle gas system is hard to beat in terms of recoil.
Great muzzle break, terrible crush washer
by Bryan -
I bought this for a 308 I was putting together, the muzzle brake is great quality and finish, a very matte black. Function wise it is very effective, but the crush washer it comes with is very anemic, I was lucky and only needed about a quarter turn left on it to time it after I hand tightened it, any more than that and I don't think the supplied crush washer would have been enough. If you are worried about it not timing on your rifle, be sure to buy a good crush washer to give it some extra room.
Decent muzzle brake

It definitely works. The finish and machining on mine looked quite good.
