The Rubber City Armory 5.56 NATO M16 BCG with Adjustable Gas Key is ideal for shooters who desire less muzzle movement between shots. The bolt carrier group is constructed from high-quality 8620 steel and finished with aerospace nitride coating for optimal durability and strength. The carrier is lighter than the standard M16 carrier resulting in optimal performance and making it ideal for competition. The performance of your weapon is further enhanced with the pre-hardened adjustable gas key with reduced sharp edges due to its radius corners. The adjustable gas key enhances the performance of standard mass GI systems without unnecessary disassembly by simply adjusting the 2 set screws (one to adjust gas flow and one to lock it in place) at the carrier. The enhanced radius machined M16 bolt made of 9310 steel offers years of service life and unrivaled durability making this a competition ready complete bolt carrier group. These work well. Niche item for pinned barrels.

I've had one of these for a few years. They work as intended, and allow a light buffer for fast cycling with minimal gas. Works reliably and has a lock screw holding in the gas control screw.

It's the only choice if you have a pinned muzzle device on a 14.5” (before braces were invented) or want to keep the pinned gas block (also the case on that same upper).

Effective Gas Adjustment

I put this BCG in a 300 BLK AR. It was fairly easy to adjust and get the rifle shooting sub-sonic rounds reliably with bolt hold open at the end of the magazine. Definitely made super sonic rounds shoot a bit softer after the sub-sonic adjustment. Not as easy to adjust as some other adjustable gas keys or BCGs. We will see after some more shooting if the adjustment screw and set screw work loose (I only shot about 200 rounds with it installed).
