The Safariland 6365RDS  ALS®/SLS Low-Ride Level III Retention™ Duty Holster is designed for optics-equipped handguns - in this case, the 9mm Glock 17 and .40 S&W Glock 22 service pistols. The Automatic Locking System (ALS®), a type of active retention, secures your firearm in all directions as soon as you holster it. When you deactivate the ALS® with your right thumb, the handgun is free for a vertical draw stroke - no lateral movement needed.

For a custom-molded fit, SafariLand uses SafariLaminate™ -  a high-impact thermoplastic formed to the gun’s exterior dimensions. The SafariLand’s SLS® (Self Locking System), which consists of a manually operated rotating hood, provides an additional layer of retention, for a total of three.

Many holsters are not designed to accommodate optics-equipped handguns. Open-top, optics-compatible holsters often fail to provide adequate protection for the delicate glass lens of the red-dot sighting system. The 6365RDS features an optional Optic Hood Guard to protect the red-dot sight from rain, snow, mud, and sand. 

The 6365RDS is not only available in a right-handed configuration. This variant is designed for left-handed shooters, ensuring that southpaws can also benefit from the numerous advantages of this duty holster.
