Typical Seekins Quality

See the title. Seekins makes good stuff.

great fit/finish

Tired of magpul trigger guards....check this product out, awesome fit/finish.

Would buy again

Unlike the aluminum one from Magpul this one fit perfectly with no alignment issues and no modifications needed.

Very easy install and allows for extra clearance when wearing gloves.

Way to go Primary Arms

by

Very nice and snug fit, easy to install into a Spike's Tactical lower, though I didn't realize Seekins doesn't include a roll pin to complete installation... so holy cow, Primary Arms knows how to do customer service right. When I asked about the pin they explained it's not included, but offered to ship me one anyway (no charge) since it was a stripped lower and I didn't have a spare on hand. They even threw in some extra goodies like a pair of earplugs and bumper stickers. Something as small as that will earn my repeated business, unlike Optics Planet who refused to do anything about a different product I had purchased that didn't survive its advertised application.

Didn't work for me

by

Couldn't get roll pin through with sufficient force. Took it to my Gunsmith who struggled to remove the partially installed pin that I had started. After serious banging to get pin out my Gunsmith proceeded to install new pin. Gunsmith unable to install stated the receiving hole on the trigger guard was too small. Surprised by this experience as Seekins is normally great stuff. Contacted Primary Arms about return or replacement was assured I'd be taken care. PA still has approved an Return Authorization. I can accept Seekins have a lapse in QC but Primary Arms customer service I find lacking. It's shame they're okay losing a customer over an $18 part. Guess I'll stick to Midway and Brownells.

Buy a roll pin

by

I agree for the money they should include a roll pin. At least the cheap Magpul ones come with that. They should make mention they aren't included.

Quality part but design flaw

by

Seekins makes nice stuff, to be sure, but this trigger guard didn't do it for me. Install was easy on a milspec forged lower, and I mean it's not like it's a moving part, so once it's on, then it's on. My issue is with the machining and (lack of ) finishing on the sides, just fore and aft of the pin/screw holes. The corners are SHARP, and man I mean sharp. And because they don't sit flush with the ears there are sharp corners. Admittedly this isn't a part you handle, but in a situation where you are handling the gun rapidly (trying to get a sling over your head, getting it out of a case, whatever) I could see cutting your hand on the edge. Or, more likely, it could abrade soft gear like a sling or a case. It would have taken more time and thought to bevel the edges, and I wish they would have. I'm getting something else that's more user-friendly.
