Details

Smooth cycling, reliable extraction, and proper feeding are the hall marks of a quality bolt carrier group such as the Seekins Precision NX15. Built to MIL-SPEC dimensions to ensure a drop-in fit on any AR-15 or M16 rifle or pistol, the NX15 was then lightened slightly to reduce cyclic mass and improve lock time and felt recoil. Each NX15 bolt carrier group is equipped with a magnetic particle inspected 9310 super steel bolt assembly for an extended service life, and treated finished with Seekins Precision's Element Surface Treatment for a low-friction, minimal maintenance part you can rely on.

BCG didn't work correctly fresh from the package

I bought the Seekins Precision BCG as a complement to a mostly Seekins Precision build that included an SP upper, lower and hand guard. When I took this BCG out of the package and proceeded to take it apart to lubricate it upon the finish of my build, I noticed that the cotter pin was very difficult to remove. After finally removing it and oiling the surfaces, I put it back together and noticed that the cotter pin was also very difficult to re-insert. I then put the BCG into the rifle and it wouldn't seat properly even though it seemed to be correctly assembled. I had a spare BCM BCG that I placed into my build that seated correctly to ensure that there was nothing wrong with the upper. I will have a local gunsmith inspect the Seekins Precision BCG so that I can send it back to the manufacturer with a summary of the exact problem.
