Aim small, miss small is what precision target shooting is all about and there are not many targets smaller than a prairie dog. Accuracy is about hitting a small target consistently and the only way to do that is with practice.

The Spring-Popper 14.5" Prairie Dog target by Shoot Steel is designed for those shooters that are obsessed with tight groupings and enjoy nothing more than going after small varmints such as prairie dogs.

The target was manufactured to take a hit from rifles chambered in .308 and smaller at 100 yards. Perfect for the dedicated varmint hunters.

Features:
  • AR550 steel target
  • Height: 14.5 in
  • Base Length: 23.75 in
  • Powder coated for weather resistance
  • Weight: 14.50 lbs.

The Spring-Popper with prairie dog shaped target is the perfect reactive target for shooters that need to hit tight groupings consistently within a short period of time. Hit, reload, and fire again.

With the spring located at the bottom of the target, each hit is obvious with the target rebounding into position and producing an audible hit.

Constructed from AR550 steel, the Spring-Popper Prairie Dog is built to last, and powder coated for added protection against the elements. The 23.75" long base with fastening holes provides a steady platform for the target so it does not move after getting hit, which means you can fire multiple times within quick succession and really focus on getting a tight grouping.

Although the target is extremely tough and durable, it is recommended that rifles with a muzzle velocity greater than 3,000 fps be used at 200-yards or more.
