SIG Sauer ROMEO-MSR Red Dot Sight - 2 MOA

The optic itself is fine for it's price point but here are my grips on this red dot. The control dial is unnecessarily stiff. The windage, elevation adjustments have no covers like other red dots that have the slot tool to adjust them. This requires that you carry the big butterfly key provided or an appropriate tool separately. The butterfly tool opens the battery cover and has a torx for the mount screw and the small slot for adjustments. There is no storage provided for the butterfly tool provided, so put it in your pocket. It has an odd 1632 battery. It doesn't have motion sensing which combined with the overly stiff control gets annoying. There are other red dots in the price range which are a better choice wish I'd made it.

I have this unit along with the Juliet 3 Micro. The dot is bright and has held zero well despite being tossed around and such. Not the most "parallax free" as it claims, but for the price its an absolute steal. Not related to this product specifically, but the Juliet 3 Micro sucks. So if you plan to run this in conjunction with the 3x keep reading. The eye relief is about .25 inches with a .001 inch eyebox. If you're used to an ACOG and are used to positioning yourself with you nose on your charging handle then its great. I didn't like changing my form for the 1 rifle I put this on, so I run it with the dot alone and keep the 3x flipped out for IFF and such. Great tool used that way.

Look thru caps are great for iron sights. Knob is stiff but after some use loosens up. Bright dot at five, no issues. Just remember to turn it off.

Sweet red dot. Absolute co-witnessed my magpul backup sights perfectly. Easily adjusted and a variety of brightness settings for any situation.

built solid and made to last. i love the way they made it durable. I was a bit concerned about lower settings and Sig customer support told me it would should during a no light conditions but i tried it with light off and seen no variation till i adjust brightness to a higher level 3-4 . to me it's not a big deal and its still high quality red dot and of Great value for the price. i gave it a 4 instead of 5 because of this.

I'm happy enough with this red dot. 2MOA is a bit small for me, but it's all good if I don't have the brightness too high. Great CS and fast shipping as usual from PA.

This was my first red dot. I've had extensive experiences with multiple sub guns and carbines but at 63 years of age the eyes are failing. This red dot allowed me to again quickly acquire multiple targets for fast accurate fire. Technology is great.

Works well on the AR platform. Easy to install and operate. Lens caps and optic control is stiff when new, better than loose and falling off. Well worth the price.
