At first I wasn't sure about running this on my AK and it did take some time getting use too. Its a little tricky to get on your AK but is solid when mounted correctly. I heard that it didn't work with polymer mags but that's not true. I have ran steel, magpul, and cheap tapco mags and they all fit and run properly. NOTE: The tapco mags are a little on the tight side at first but once broke in they insert just fine. It does make reloads a lot faster due to the flared magwell but still requires a slight rock and lock. The flared magwell alone makes this worth trying plus its only $40
Have to say difficult on the WASR but once fitted it did help. But if you like your drum magazine this is one item you are going to want to pass on. No drum will fit after install and I have 4. Still not going to take it off this one, I've always got the other for those special days.

Love it but required a LOT of fitting on Saiga

i had a detailed review of the strengths and challenges of the MFER but was limited to 1000 characters. I have a love hate relationship with my MFER. First, it is flimsy. When you look at the pictures, you get the impression it is solid polymer. It isn't. The entire thing is hollow so it will bend, twist, and crack very easily during installation so be careful. Second, the hardware is totally inadequate. The screws and nuts look like the puny hardware from the guts of a computer. Third, it did not fit my Saiga at all and required a LOT of material removal where it fits around the trigger guard. You might get lucky and it fit your trigger guard but don't count on it. Btw, remember how the MFER is hollow? That comes back to haunt you because the section that fits around the trigger guard is hollow. So as you remove material, the puny hardware starts to shift, slide, and pull through the unit as material thins in order to fit around the trigger guard.

I installed it on my Saiga 5.56 and so far it works well. I don`t think it would tolerate heavy use , but for me that I treat my weapons with care , it is ok .

I installed the solar tactical MFER on my amd 65.Installation was a breeze, fit and finish is excellent, and i noticed a huge difference in speed of mag changes.I think that the MFER is one of the best mods that anyone could do for an akm variant!

I was sketchy but ordered one anyway. I have since ordered another one and swear by them.
Poorly Constructed Product. Broke, Read Below.
Let me start off by saying Primary Arms was awesome as usual but this cannot be said about the actual product made by Solar Tactical. This product in a nutshell; Very cheap construction on a tough weapon. My experience with this product has been nothing but headaches. Durability is the problem. After only about 2 days of tactical and combat reloads with standard com-block metal AK mags, the product has failed. It how sports a large missing piece of plastic were the screw attaches to the front lip. It is completely un-usable in that condition. So I contacted Solar Tactical about the plastic cracked AK funnel. They were very friendly after sending photos of the cracked funnel and say they will send a replacement out next day. Well here I am 3 weeks later writing this review with no replacement or contact from Solar Tactical. I hope this helps just one individual save your hard earned money on an appallingly made product.
The MFER is a simple product and works as advertised. I own two of them and find that they do help to eliminate fumbling a mag insertion when doing fast reloads in competitions or classes. It doesn't say it in the product description, but they do work on 5.56 AKs also, I have one a SLR106.
