Sons of Liberty Gun Works Broadsword L89 .223 Wylde Barreled Upper Receiver - 12.5" - No Muzzle

The Sons of Liberty Gun Works Broadsword L89 in .223 Wylde with a 12.5-inch barrel is a barreled upper receiver that ships without a muzzle device, allowing the end user to select the flash hider, muzzle brake, or suppressor mount that best fits their intended application. This is the shortest barrel option in the L89 lineup.

This is a barreled upper receiver only. It does not include a bolt carrier group or charging handle — both must be sourced separately to complete the upper assembly.

The 12.5-inch 416 stainless steel barrel features an SPR profile, a 1-in-7 twist rate, a .223 Wylde chamber, and a carbine-length gas system with a .750-inch gas block journal. The muzzle is threaded 5/8x24. The Broadsword-89 billet upper receiver and L89 DriveLock rail use an extended barrel nut, tensioning crossbolts, a keyed upper receiver face, anti-rotation tabs, and a stainless steel center index dowel to create a rigid interface between the upper receiver and handguard.

The Broadsword-89 billet upper is compatible with standard-dimension milspec contour lower receivers, so no proprietary lower is required.

The L89 DriveLock rail is an M-LOK handguard designed to provide a rigid, repeatable mounting surface for accessories and optic-dependent systems.

The 12.5-inch barrel with carbine gas is suited for close to mid-range applications where compact overall length is a priority, including suppressed pistol or SBR configurations.
